Rimmel Oh My Lip Gloss, Non Stop Glamour, 0.22 Fluid Ounce

I desperately needed a lip balm and/or lip gloss that would remedy my severely chapped lips. I live in the upper Midwest where cold weather is already setting in which also means that my skin and lips are getting really dry. I was genetically born with dry skin and lips. Over the course of years, I've tried so many brands of lip gloss that you commonly get in any store and none of them lasted longer than an hour for me. So I decided to look for a brand on Amazon that maybe was different from the regular brands with possibly natural ingredients in them.I stumbled on this one. I purchased the Crystal Clear lip gloss and as the name suggests, it's one that has absolutely no color taint. I wanted a clear one because as I mentioned above, I wanted a gloss to remedy my dry lips rather for glamor. I have to say I am extremely pleased with this brand. As soon as I received this gloss, I tried it on and already noticed a huge difference. My lips felt hydrated and slightly warm. I know this sounds nasty but a few hours (about 4?) after the first application, dead layers of skin started flaking off so I washed my lips and re-applied this lip gloss. Now my lips felt noticeably different and moisturized. I decided I would apply this gloss one more time (third time) before going to bed so my lips would be hydrated while I sleep. The next day, I applied the gloss in the morning again. This is where I took the two pictures (attached in this review). One picture shows my lips in full day light while the other is in indoor light. Can you even tell my lips were badly chapped?! That's how this product miraculously worked on me! It is now almost 6 days since I have been using this product as I write this review and my lips continue to feel moisturized. On two other occasions, more flakey skin came off but not much. Also, I only apply this gloss twice a day and another lip balm (Dr. Bronner's - also available on Amazon - that I use once a day) and that's it!Now on to more specifics. The gloss works for me beyond 6 hours when I don't eat or drink. If I eat, I have to re-apply the gloss again after eating. When I drink however, sometimes the gloss has stayed on but I have to re-apply it on occasions where I've had several sips from a cup or glass. A very interesting titbit, the gloss does not stick to the cup as normally glosses do! The gloss has a faint smell which very eerily resembles a brand of lipstick that I used in my childhood, which was also made in England. The smell is mild and pleasant but fades away after a while.The only minor issue with this lip gloss and any other lip gloss I have ever used. Most lip glosses are gooey, some are less, others are more. This lip gloss is of a quite gooey consistency which means that when I apply it, my lips constantly feel warm and a constant feeling that there's something on them. Because the benefit of this lip gloss outweighs this issue, I'm starting to let go off that reminder that there's something in my lips. I've known one person in my life who couldn't wear anything on her lips if she is constantly reminded of it - so if you are that kind of person, this lip gloss may not work for you. Otherwise, ladies please try this lip gloss. It's the only gloss among so, SO MANY others that actually works on my ridiculous lips!Edit: 12/27/16: I have since purchased the 'Rebel Red' lip gloss and it works just as well as the clear gloss. The rebel red is NOT red but more of a burgundy rose. The color looks sizzling in indoor lighting and holds up well provided you don't eat or drink. If it fades, a simple one time re-application does the trick to keep the color intact. Great purchase and 5 stars for the rebel red gloss as well.

Love this gloss, color, shine and moisture!

I’ve been using this lipgloss in different shades for years so I know how this should smell. This lip gloss smells old. Although this came sealed, the plastic tube is completely scratched which is not a big deal but this does not look like a new lipgloss. Maybe this is from an old batch based on the off scent.

I purchased this to go over a gold eyeliner on my lips to get that fresh dipped gold look and it works well for that purpose. It's a little goopy which made it difficult to apply to my lips with a different applicator (don't want to contaminate the gloss by using the applicator that comes with it or perhaps get the gold liner in the gloss by way of the applicator) but this definitely did what it was supposed to do.I don't see myself buying much lip gloss of any kind, however If the need arose again, i'd definitely get this one again.

I was nervous about buying this online but since I could not find it in the stores, I gave it a shot. It's perfect. I love this color and I'm so glad I can get it from Amazon now.

The lip gloss wasn't sticky, and it is great. However, to me, it is as good for bigger lips, I had to dip the applicator in the bottle multiple times for my desired look and even then the product kind of wiped the gloss away as it was applied. Only problem was the applicator :).

A good substitute if you are using Lipsense. The Lipsense gloss goes by quickly and can be $20-$30 a tube. This is a substitute for the glossy gloss. I like it. It has a slightly odd taste but nothing terrible.

This is better than buying the corner shop lips gloss. unlike other lip gloss this doesn’t dry out your lips and doesn’t contain dangerous chemicals I brought this for my self 💗✨

This gloss looks great but soon wears off. Especially if you eat or drink anything.At such a low cost, it's a good lip moisturiser.Feels nice on lips, not thick or gloopy.I've worn this gloss on top of a lip stain (the stain lasts until cleaned off).It's good on bare lips & a fab lip moisturiser.Also looks good on top of lipstick, and gives a nice shine & gloss.Just a pity the longevity of the gloss is missing.Best results are when I'm on a long journey. I don't eat, drink or talk for 2 hours. This lipgloss stays in place and looks good when I arrive. But when I have a cuppa, the gloss soon disappears.I think the lip moisture is great & apply this lip gloss at bedtime. Soft, moisturised lips the next morning.Good product, just needs a lot of topping up.

Arrived on time.. Overpackaged. There is no need for that size of envelope for such a small item. It arrived not sealed which is a concern. Took chance tried it anyway not sticky.. Not tingly.. More like the feel of vasaline on your lips with a bit of extra gloss. Feels more of a moisturiser. Time will tell if it is long lasting. I bought the clear gloss. Price was OK. No flavour or smell from it.. If you are looking for a real glossy look probably not for you ..

Makes my lips pop without it looking unnatural.Recommend :)
