Mattel Games Apples to Apples Party Box - Expansion 1

We love Apples to Apples and we had gone through all of our cards a few times. New cards seemed like the logical choice. However, additional variety in this expansion set would have made things even more fun. All the cards are in the format of "____ and ____", like "sugar and spice" or "hot and spicy". They did add a freshness to our play, but are sometimes very difficult to play with. You might want to buy this, so long as you know what you are in for. We mixed them in with our original set and are having fun with them.

maybe it is just the way i like to play the game but many of the cards are very hard to make fit with most anything playing the game "straight" and even fewer work well if you play a card with the intention of having funny responses. i dotn think an adult version would be necessary but it is not uncommon to have the names of 5 very boring people in your hand at one time. i just wish they would stop reading the encyclopedia and have a little more fun when writing the cards.

I read someone else's review on the Apples to Apples Expansion Pack #1 and it's wrong. It states all cards are in the format ____&____. This statement is 100% incorrect. Yes, the new stacks include ____&____ formats which add to the F.U.N. of Apples to Apples but there's plenty of single worded cards within the decks. I am one happy purchaser of Expansion Pack #1 and can't wait to add it to my original box and play with family!!! Don't hesitate to buy this expansion pack!!

I got this game by amazon 'cause it was on sale, so I got it for a very good price, it is a classic so I could not leave this chance to expand my traditional game. I am really enjoying it.

this game is a blast to play with family and friends. The kids are totally engaged...we have a great time as a family -- the product was in perfect condition -- and great shipping -- good price!! THANK YOU

These cards have a different way to play this classic game. My kids did not like the change. We won't use these cards, what a waste.

I had purchased this pack a few years ago for my daughter at a local Target store. I have been searching for one for myself for the past 6 months and finally found it at Amazon. We love playing the game but got tired of the same cards. I recommend this as an addition to anyone's game night.

This expansion pack added a lot of good cards to our game. We enjoy having family and friends play this game.

The original game is excellent. The expansion pack is too geared towards the American audience. I have made an expensive error.
