Not an environmentally friendly purchase - full of unrecyclable packaging
I bought these pods as they're compostable. I love my coffee, I love the convenience of nespresso pods but I hate the waste they create. Compostable pods are a brilliant solution. I'm currently trying a bunch of different brands of compostable pods. These were attractive as they come in a big pack and are relatively good value for money. The dealbreaker for me is that the pack is subpackaged into 5 pods in plasticky unrecyclable packs. That's 20 additional waste packages being thrown away for this one box.Won't be repurchasing.

Should have read more carefully...
First, the taste. For me, not as good as Nespresso for similar price. Second, compatibility. I did get some issues with water pouring out or half filled cups. Lastly, compostibility. Should have read more carefully, pod feels like hard plastic and is only compostable via "industrial" methods. Just wanted something I could throw in the composte heap and use in the garden with the benefit of used coffee grounds for fertilizer. The search continues.....Changed to one star. 1 pod in 4 fails make a coffee properly.

Quite bitter
I was lured to these capsules because they claim to be compostable, which I have no reason to doubt although they do seem very plastic-like and there is no indication on them so I fear that they will cause problems at the recycling centre! Maybe they should be coloured green or something to make it clearer that they are recyclable. However the coffee still needs to be good, and unfortunately I find these pods produce rather bitter-tasting coffee. Certainly they are much more bitter than my personal favourite, the lovely L'OR Supremo capsules. Although the L'OR pods are not directly compostable, with a small amount of work with a pair of scissors the pods can be emptied of the coffee into the food recycling bin, and the pods themselves, being aluminium, can be put into the mixed recycling bin.So they are environmentally relatively decent, but best of all the L'OR coffee tastes great, to my taste buds at least. Which I can't say for the pods I am reviewing here!

Pleasant, fruity coffee
This coffee is awful with milk (IMHO) but drunk black and fairly concentrated, it's good. The plastic capsules work well in my Dualit coffee machine with no need to pierce before using. Compostable capsules are a bonus although as someone else remarked, they are packed in paper/foil packets to keep them fresh and I am not sure if the paper can be recycled. I don't think I will buy them again as they aren't good enough to challenge my favourite coffee but they were worth a try.

Terrible
These pods are without question the worst I have ever tried and expected much better from a respected brand like Dualit. Within a couple of seconds of pressing the button on my Magimix machine the liquid turned from a coffee colour to almost clear and the result was very weak. I can only assume it was a faulty batch but won't risk buying them again.

Compostable pods but not recyclable packaging!
Tasty coffee. I bought these as I was looking for compostable capsules. That was the number one reason. The fair trade coffee was also a plus. On the basis that I am trying to choose ethical coffee pods I was disappointed to find them wrapped in 5's in very shiny packaging which I presume is not recyclable! (please correct me if I'm wrong) They need to think about ALL the packaging. Not just the pods. I realise freshness is key but maybe there's a better solution.

False advertising
Perfectly pleasant flavour, if a little weaker then I normally enjoy, but still enjoyable. However the picture is misleading. My partner admittedly didn't read the description fully, however the image is of 80 pods for £9.99. When the package arrived we were stumped when we saw it only contained 50 pods, until we read the description together. Now not only is the image of a greater size, but the price as of today (Friday 1st April) is £12.99, so you're only getting 50 pods for greater cost.Had this been the eighty advertised in the photograph for £9.99 I could see myself buying this product on a regular basis, but £12.99 for fifty of a product that is only average, is not for us.

Very weak taste
Liked the idea of compostable capsules but these are so weak that you need to use two to get anything like a decent strength lungo. So it’s not only slow but works out very expensive!
