A Must Have Item
In Texas next year they are going to ban drivers from just simply holding our cell phones in our car while driving so I'm very thankful I purchased this bluetooth. The installation was a little difficult because I've never installed anything in my car before, took me about 2 hours but once you break down the dash the rest is a breeze. Connecting your phone to the bluetooth is extremely easy, you can add multiple phones to the device also. Be sure your cables are secure, I had went over a pot hole one night and the cords came undone from the impact but since then I haven't had any problems. The sound is great I love that the songs stop when you turn off your car and begin again when you turn it back on. The calling feature is perfect, everyone I speak to says they can hear me crystal clear and I don't have to shout, literally they tell me to stop shouting. I do wish the cord wasn't as long but I have a small car so I understand the length may be needed for other vehicles. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this product. I never write reviews but I talk about my bluetooth so much to my friends and family I felt I needed to come on here and praise it some more!

Works but directions poor.
This works but wiring directions are a joke. Directions on my receiver and this adapter are incidental and wrong. Wire colors are not the same. Well there was a blue/white on both, and the black I could just ground to the chassis, but have no idea what to connect the brown wire to. And yes it is a JVC player that is compatible with this adapter.

Well worth the money!
This is money well spent. If your JCV radio is KSBTA100 ready, you are making a mistake in not getting it. I have to admit it took a bit of time to understand the installation process as the KSBTA100 asks that one refer to the radio instructions to install. This was not good since I had purchased my JVC radio the previous year and the instructions were non existent. Fortunately I was able to locate the instructions on the JVC website. I installed mine on a 1999 landcruiser. Thanks to the generous length of wire, I was able to place the control on the visor. After wiring it according to the instructions, I turned it on and connected my Iphone and was delighted at how well it worked during a phone call.. Other nice surprises came up when I used google maps on my iphone. During automated directions, the radio automatically lowered the music volume and then resumed after the automated voice gave directions. This bluetooth adapter is a must have for your JVC bluetooth ready radio. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

and that's how bad it is at handling two different cell phones
I only really have one complaint about the functionality on this device, and that's how bad it is at handling two different cell phones. Instead of being able to set some kind of pairing order to prioritize one phone over another, it just goes by who was connected last, which can lead to some confusion when you're in a shared vehicle. Aside from that, it works quite well. The audio is as clear as it is coming through the aux input jack, and the voice dialing works well. One side note about the install is that you have a bit of splicing and soldering to do when installing it. If you've installed the head unit yourself, you're already familiar with this process, but you'd think that with their own proprietary unit that only works with their head units, they could just put a plug on the damn thing and be done with it. However, it isn't that much trouble, and we already need to be practicing our solder joints anyways.

Can't say if it's any good or not, you must hard wire this into your stereo, returned this to get a simple plug and play version with same great features

No more wires!
This is a great little add-on to my JVC KWR500 Stereo that I have loaded in a 06 Hyundai Sonata. After months of tangling with wires I finally broke down and bought it due to the unsightly white iPod charger cords. I installed it with no problem. It took about an hour, I think the most difficult thing about it was deciding which side i wanted to attach the adapter. Bluetooth works like a charm. Pandora is almost instantaneous once I sit in the car while the phone is in my pocket, just press the play button on the adapter! Test drove it while riding around town to check the clarity of the calls. They said it was crystal clear. Be advised: it is subject to change due to your location you will get the occasional.."You're breaking up a little bit", nothing to fret about though. I waited until after Christmas to buy it saved myself $30!!! Worth the wait.
