Works great, easy to operate and you can do about 2lbs of beef jerky at a time.

It's smaller than I thought. However it has 8 trays which make up the difference from my old dehydrator. It's quite. I made some jerky when I received it. Did excellent.It was suppose to have a set of tones with it. They were missing.Like the looks of it. Was easy to hand wash after use. It heated up fast.

This is replacing another brand model that bought 5 years ago. That one quit heating, soldered in fuse and thermistor so couldn't repair. Hopefully if have issue with this one is built with replaceable fuse and Termistor if ever have a problem.I like the higher temperature. The trays and top cover are the same as the other brand which is great. Made beef and pork jerky so far. It's being rectangular rather than round like some dehydrators is awesome. It really takes up less space.

Simple instructions. Easy to put together. Yes, I can hear the fan and it’s a nice relief when it’s done, but it’s not at all obnoxious. The downside to this is the temperature settings. You turn the dial to set the temperature but it is not exact. For instance, if I want 150, a turn to the left gives me 140. A turn to the right is 158. You can’t reach 150! Another issues we have is wondering if it ever really gets up to temperature. Banana chips were taking a ridiculously long time so my husband put a thermometer in the unit. It stayed 10-15* lower than we’d set it. This is really only important when making jerky or other meats for food safety concerns. For my purposes, this dehydrator is working just fine and hasn’t yet been put away!

After researching many dehydrators, Vivo HOME is the best value and an incredible food dehydrator! Being new to dehydrating food I wanted to ensure I wasn't wasting money and buying quality. Vivo HOME brings tremendous value. Beautiful machine. Size is perfect. I got the 5 tray. However, I now wish I bought the 8 tray! Love how quiet it is, the performance, and especially the auto shut off. All of the controls are easy to use and the temperature is consistent from tip to bottom. They did an excellent job designing the dehydrator and the instructions are step by step, easy to follow. I have dehydrated, apples, peaches strawberries, bananas, and an herb, Mullein for tea. VivoHOME includes some recipes as well. Nice touch. They provide everything you need to kick off your dehydrating addiction...lol. Enjoy!

Would rate with negative stars if allowable.......We are gardeners and bought this dehydrator to replace our old one. Long story short; worked great for 3 or 4 months, then it quit heating up. Contacted Vivo customer support via email with the problem. They responded with thier requirements for warranty, purchase/invoice number and a video explaining the problem. I complied immediately, and have had no response following my compliance and multiple follow up emails as to why they were failing to honor their warranty. I gave months of time for them to respond before writing this review. Glad we kept our old dehydrator to use during our harvesting of the garden. I really liked the dehydrator that Vivo sold us on Amazon and just wanted it warranted, but no. So now I am hoping Amazons customer service can get involved with resolving this problem. I would not recommend buying this dehydrator or any product from Vivo. You should buy from any other company, rather than a product from Vivo, I hope this saves someone the trouble of having to deal with these thieves!!!

I ordered two of these for my dog bakery business. So far they're working great but I've only had them a couple weeks. I love the fact that it's digital and the temperature goes up to 176F. Also, it doesn't show it in the description or say it in the description but the racks have two heights. Lower height and a higher height. If you turn the racks around, there's more space in between them for larger or thicker items, which is what I need. It's kind of hard to describe, but you'll figure it out once you get them. I also like the fact that their rectangular shaped racks instead of round because I can get more product in them.I posted some pictures to try to help people see how it works. Great buy!

New to dehydrating and after looking at several models I settled on this one. Perfect size for the counter and the red matches everything in my kitchen. In just one week I have dehydrated strawberries, cherries, eggplant, and squash. It literally has not been off. For those complaining about the sound of the fan while running and that it's noisy. Really? I only hear it once I enter my kitchen and even then it's no louder then a kitchen exhaust fan or oscillating floor fan. Very easy to use. No harder to program then an alarm clock. I will note this though since I'm new to dehydrating. I'm currently following directions in two different dehydrating books I bought and am finding that what books state as drying times is not a complete science. I'm finding that drying times are being learned through trial and error and every dehydrator is different. All in all I love this dehydrator so much that I just purchased another one. Delivery was quick and it came well packed in a cushioned box.
