Lukasa Portable Bluetooth CD Player Built-in Speaker Stereo, Personal MP3 Players Rechargeable Compact Car Disc CD Music Player USB Play Anti-Shock Protection (Black)

I bought this 2+ years ago and forgot to review it. Since it's still available (only in white) and was a great product, here's an endorsement. It's a handy little player with almost every possible feature and connection crammed into it. The built-in speakers are poor but you should expect that in a small cheap player (they're OK for voice CDs like audiobooks) -- it sounds great when connected to decent speakers. The load-CD-from-the-bottom is weird but it works and gives more space on top for buttons and connections. Only the Bluetooth is dicey, which is understandable given its age. I hope they keep producing them!

After exhaustive research I chose this cd for its ability to do many things, such as stand alone play with decent speaker. Most of all you can play this in your car, regardless of Bluetooth, and charging. New cars don’t have CD players. With this unit you can play it because it has its own speaker and runs on its own rechargeable battery. It also has usb Port that can play mp3 . I loved the carry case , earbuds, and great quality of the player itself. It has EASY to play buttons,in other words you can press buttons quickly instead of scrolling through an onscreen menu,which is really handy . Here is an important fact. I have not been able to connect with my 2020 Honda car speakers with Bluetooth, possibly I don’t know if I’m doing it right. Same with connecting with Fm. This is ok as again you can play through the cds player. I suspect that because it has Apple CarPlay One cannot use anything but Apple products and phones in the car. I don’t blame this product , rather Honda ,for not making equipment that’s compatible with other products. One thing to note, you can use the headphones jack to plug into your home speakers and it shuts off the cd speaker and you can blast out your home speakers. In turn you can plug into aux in and use the cd speaker,as a stand alone speaker with other devices mp3 ,iPod, etc. All in all it is a good product.

I bought this because my 2020 Honda CRV does not have a CD player and I want to listen to my music. I thought that I would be able to hook it up to the Bluetooth, but after much frustration and researching I realized this only receives Bluetooth - it does not send. So, then I bought a Bluetooth converter on Amazon so I could use it. That didn't even work since it would not recognize the CD player. I was extremely disappointed. It was a nice, slim player with a good sound, but for this price I wanted something that would go through my car speakers. I had to resort to downloading all of my CD's on a USB drive which works.

I am really impressed with this combination player. The sound quality is great for this price range. Works great with my Bluetooth ShareMe headphones. Plays my CDs, recorded MP3 CDs, USB flash drives, AUX input works great. It takes a re-read of the user manual to get the hang of all of the controls. But, hey I'm an "old "time IT geek. This unit is much better than the other ones I have used before. I can go outside my house and still get Bluetooth coverage. I would definitely recommend this unit. I don't think the price can easily be beat! I may buy another as a gift or backup.

This product has been a disappointment from start to finish. My car CD player does not play MP3s and I have some MP3 CD novels I want to listen to. So I bought this. Although it does play MP3s, its maximum volume is very low and hard to hear when I am driving. Its overall design is not user friendly. For example, on the top of the device there is a circle containing a total of 12 buttons. Some of them have titles like "Fun" and "A-B" and "Rep" and "Prog" which are not meaningful to me. The "User Manual" has very small print and uses obscure terminology without bothering to explain what it means. To overcome the sound problem, I used the earphones that came with the product, which did work. I decided to keep it because it's a hassle to send stuff back and look for another product. After about two months it started working intermittently, then it stopped altogether. (I'd used the enclosed USB cable to recharge the battery, so a dead battery was not the cause of the malfunction.) At this point I was fed up with it so I thought I'd investigate sending it back for a refund. There was no readily apparent way to do this on my order form, so I called Amazon. I was told it was too late to get a refund (I'd surpassed the 30-day deadline), but I could contact Lukasa to help me learn how to use it better. I was given a web site address (lukasa.com) which is outmoded and is now for a different company. I was also given an overseas phone number, but I was concerned that I might have to pay a charge if I called. Plus by this time I knew I did not want this product so calling them for advice about how to use it was superfluous. So the question became: what do I do with this? I don't want to give it to a friend because I don't think it's a good product. I don't want to give it to an enemy either, because I'm not a petty guy. So I have decided to give it to the "Good Will" as a donation, on the off chance that a tinkerer might get it and use the parts for a creative project.

This unit is OK for the price, but only barely. I had read that inside was a replaceable 18650 Lithium Ion battery and that is why I bought it. I didn't mind that the reviews suggested maybe under 2 hours play time. When it came time to switch out the battery after maybe 2.5 hours play time, opening the case was tricky. I removed 5 screws and still had to find the hidden several "catches" to open the case. Each made me feel like maybe I would never get it back together again. Once inside, I discovered one of those flattish Lithium Ion batteries that was possibly replaceable, but certainly not as commonly found as the 18650. My fancy 18650 charger/tester/reconditioner and spare batteries would be useless here. Also, once inside the case I immediately noticed there is only one speaker. It seems well built and provides decent sound, but is not loud enough to picture this unit as a party sound source. Positives: Sound quality is reasonable for a monaural tiny speaker. The rechargeable battery works, but not for long... The pairing with blue tooth headset went seamlessly. The unit seems well built. The speaker seems high quality. The accessories provided are of reasonable quality and function as well as expected for an under $60 product. The oversampling or whatever they call it in the description works just fine. I accidentally pushed my unit off the table and it hit the floor full on the edge. There was no hesitation or interruption of the sound. I have carried it around the house and yard with me with similar flawless result. I don't know if this is a comment about my cheap blue tooth head set, or this unit, but the distance I can walk from the unit before losing signal is well over 40 feet, even around a corner. Negatives: Not stereo as advertised. Volume is lacking. You won't be able to hear this in most cars beyond maybe recognizing the song. If you are wanting to listen to audio books, do not buy this unit. I get play time of about 2 CDs per battery charge. Charging time is SLOW, maybe a couple of hours. I need to comment on the questions and answers about being used by the visually impaired. While, no, there are no raised shaped marks on the buttons for self-learning without the instructions, the instructions are clear. Even though I am not visually impaired, once I have learned the button placement on a unit, I really don't look at it except to read the track number rarely. I certainly don't look at the buttons to turn on the unit, start, pause, stop, fast forward, back up, or change the CD. I don't see any issues with a visually impaired person using this unit if there is somebody to read the instructions and help the individual learn the button placement. The on/off button is a tactile slide. Even the charging should go easily enough in the dark. Comment for the reviewers that say the unit won't pair with their car: Read the instructions, or even the product description above. This unit will not pair with a car. To use it in the car, use the included AUX cable and connect it to your AUX port in your car if you have one. This will allow you to use this through the car's amplifier and speakers. The blue tooth connection in this unit is one way, out only. It cannot receive incoming blue tooth signals from your car (or headset) i.e. volume control. I suggest plugging in the charging USB while in the car, too. Overall comments: If you want a CD player to play audio books, this will work nicely if you are going to use it in a place where it can stay plugged in except for occasional room changes when you will use the battery. If you intend to play music, you must use the wired, or blue tooth headphones for stereo sound or sufficient volume for comfortable listening. I am not going to return this, but I am disappointed that it is not as advertised. My hope was to use this on my lawn mower to listen to audio books. The poor volume, even at maximum with head phones on maximum are far too low for mowing. Battery life is also an issue for me for mowing. It will be fine to use near the bed and on the charger for audio book listening.

I got this Lukasa portable CD player yesterday and have tested it for at least 2 hours.I have been using this CD player to listen to books on CD with my child.I own one before but it must output via audio cable to our speaker which is not that much convenient, I am so glad that this one build-in speaker, and Good sound,It has Bluetooth can hook up your phone on it ,It cannot be connected to other Bluetooth speakers or Bluetooth headphones via Bluetooth, so If you want to connect the car stereo, you must connect it to the car speaker, via AUX cable. It is very convenient to charge,It charges from the USB port on a computer or car charging port (cord provided with player) and has all the functions most people have come to recognize on electronic equipment. the most impressive function is it also plays USB drives,This is very convenient for me. I can download any audio books, also I can listen to my old CD collection..overall,5 stars recommendation.

Si me es útil, pero están faltando algunas funciones o características, para hacerlo mas amigable No tiene la función de tocar las canciones de forma aleatoria Solo tiene capacidad para 999 canciones cuando se utiliza un usb que puede tener un número mayor de canciones La pantalla no tiene iluminación y solo se muestra el número de la canción. Debería tener la función de poder saltar de carpeta a carpeta cuando se utiliza un usb

Es un producto bonito y cumple con lo que ofrece, sin embargo a los 3 días dejó de funcionar, no leía ningún cd, incluso los que si había leído antes. Lo devolví y pedí reembolso, y fui atendida de manera inmediata sin problema.
