Q: I have had this in use for two weeks. Worked well until a few days ago. Now doing a steady blink when the light comes on. What happened?

I am pretty sure the issue is a poor solder connection. Remove the back cover and check to make sure the rechargeable batteries are seated completely. They are just regular AA rechargeable batteries. If the unit keeps blinking after resetting the batteries check the cables running from the solar panels to the batteries and the batteries to the main board. Just wiggle them to see if the lights blink or go out. If they do find the specific wire that causes the lights to go off or blink and check the connection. I had to re-solder about half of the connections in my unit, because they were so poorly soldered, but the unit it's self is the best of all the units we looked at under the $100 price point and the internals are pretty simple with just a charging control board, light sensor, solar panels and batteries. If they simply did better QA this would be a perfect unit. After re-soldering ours, it has worked great.

Q: Is this waterproof? Doesn't say anywhere like other similar products.

It does not say waterproof but I put mine not exposed to rain and wind but just right next to entrance door. So I am not sure if it is waterproof.

Q: How does this mount to the house?

It is like a picture. You put screws in the house, then you mount the plaque lining up the holes on the back of the plaque to the screws.

Q: Should it last longer than one year? bought it in march, 2021. stopped working in december 2021. changed the battery and it still doesn't work.

I would expect it to work longer than 1 year. I purchased early last year and it still operates and I haven’t had any problems with it to date. I suggest this may be an issue you need to take to the company or to Amazon.
