Ballet Beauty
As an artist & art history enthusiast, I have seen Edgar Degas’s original work at the Chicago Art Institute. I enjoy his paintings of “the ballerinas in class”, but there’s something special about his sculptures. I purchased 3 of these, for myself & my 2 daughters. We all frequent art museums all over the world, and this item is a great reminder of Degas’s work. Wonderfully happy!

The statue is beautiful and has a good weight to it. I like it so much that I wish I had bought the larger size.

Lovely, but not the little dancer.
Beautifully made and elegant for sure. I gave it as a gift to a ballerina who loved it. A Degas fan, however, would have been disappointed to see such a different face, body and pose. It depends on whether or not the authenticity is important to you.
