Superbly built and great value for the money
This is a manual focus lens and it is not digitally connected to your camera btw. So you will need to make sure that your Fuji is properly adjusted to be able to shoot with this thing on. But once you get it working, I will tell you that this thing is a dream. It is a perfect lens for landscapes, food, and realty shots. If you've never used a manual focus lens before, don't be deterred as it is extremely easy to use. The settings on the Fuji X series will help you identify what is in and out of focus very quickly. You'll be shooting from you lens like a pro in no time.As far as the individual lens goes. It takes very nice photos with soft edges. The lens itself is superbly built in a nice metal housing that looks like it can take a beating. I would wager to say that it appears to be more solidly built than significantly more expensive Fujinon XF WR lenses that I also own. I would not want to test this len's water resistance, as it doesn't claim to be weather resistant. But I will say that the focus ring is very very smooth and that the aperture ring is very smooth and clicks at each setting. This is going to help me check out other lenses in their lineup down the road.

Very Sharp Wide-Angle Prime for Fuji XT-2
I purchased this for a road trip through the southwest US with my new Fuji XT-2. It worked great for my wide-angle landscape shots with incredibly sharp images from the foreground to infinity (see images attached). Though it's fully manual, for landscape shots on a tripod, it works perfectly and intuitively. The focus peaking with Fuji also make it very easy to check what will be in sharp focus when composing. It's appears to be very well built and super light weight.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone wanting a sharp, wide-angle prime for Fuji X mount cameras. The filter size is 67 mm which also makes it a great addition with the Fujinon 16 mm f1.4 lens and 18-135 mm lens for a light weight travel kit (all with the same filter size!).

A good lens at a reasonable price
This is a manual 12 mm lens that I use on a FujiFilm X-E3. It is a very wide lens that allows you to capture a lot of real estate in one shot. Yes, it is not the sharpest around the edges but for the price it is a great lens for the hobbyist like me. The FujiFilm 18mm is $900 so it was an easy choice for me. I am very happy with this lens. The build quality is good and the lens feels solid. The aperture ring has a slight click to it, not the smoothest but not bad either. You do not have to worry about accidently changing it. The focus ring is smooth, but for me most of the time I just set it to infinity and shoot. I know I am not that great at photography, but even i can take some nice shots with this setup. It is well worth buying to play around with.

Great for portraits!!
I'd been searching for a good wide angle lens for full body portraits because of the cool angles that can be achieved with it and WOW this is a purchase I do *not* regret!! I was a little scared to buy this because I'm not as financially secure as most everyone saying this is a "budget" lens plus none of the reviews on any sites featured portrait examples so this was a big gamble for me lol but it soooo paid off. As you can see by the billion example photos I've uploaded, this lens works really well for photographing people in close quarters. Almost all of these pics were taken up close and personal which allows for a really nice field of depth while not distorting facial features or limbs and keeping the subject nice and sharp. I've had this lens for almost a year and it has not let up!!Anyway, I decided to write this review for anyone else looking for wide angle lens for portraits rather than landscape or architectural photography.I use this lens in my Sony a6300 which is cropped sensor 1.5x so it's not as wide as it could be btw!

Great manual prime lens
I purchased this for low light landscape and astrophotography mostly while backpacking. The lens is sturdy and well made, but not heavy. The focus ring has the right amount of control to get the focus right- use focus peaking. My copy is a little soft at f2, but up from that it just steps down into wonderful sharpness. The only drawback to this lens is it only has 6 blades, so sun stars and moon stars are not as great as a more expensive lens.

Quality lens for under $270.
I purchased this lens mainly for landscaping photography as well as video shooting for hiking. So for me this lens is perfect - compact (not as the kit lens), lightweight, at 12mm F2.0 is optimal for night photography of the sky . The videos are also tack sharp. Only drawback is autofocusing but that would increase the price. I noticed lack of autofocus means more time spent on focusing leading to more battery consumption. Don't use the built in flash with this lens, it will leave a shadow at the bottom left of the photo.

Probably the best ultra wide angel option for your Fuji X system.
This is probably the best ultra wide angel option for your Fuji X system. You can spend a lot more for Fuji 14mm or 16mm f/1.4 but this lens is actually very close to their image quality while providing even wider angle of view at a fast f-stop. The focus ring is stiff which is normal and there is slight lens mount play which is also normal as with most other Fuji X lenses. The center image quality is already good wide open and reaches optimal image quality from f/4.0 to f/5.6. Corner to corner sharpness is average but considering the focal length that is more than good compared to others. This lens is actually said to be sharper than Carl Zeiss 12mm Touit f/2.8.Review Update: I have to revise my review as of September 2016. I've had several copies of this lens in various mounts and feel that there are too many manufacturing variances. Lens focusing is too stiff and infinity focus/marking is often inaccurate and different depending on your copy. If you get a good copy it performance really well but there are simply too many variances and inconsistent quality control issues. In the end I've decided to sell these lenses or return them and look for better built alternatives.
