I love this little foot switch. Makes it so convenient to turn off my lamps it's small enough to where you don't even notice it

I Understood When Buying This, That It Would Be Marginal But Usable As Delivered. The Bad: No Way Will This Thing Handel 15 Amps Per The Description. 1) The Wiring On The Cord Appears To Be 18 Ga Or So, It’s Not Up To Handling 15 Amps AND The Micro-switch Inside Is Clearly Marked 10A (AMP) 2) The Ground Wire Was Not Connected To Anything. (It Should Be Attached With A Ring Terminal To The Metal Case For Obvious Safety Reasons) 3) The Cord Is Secured Inside With A Screw And A Flimsy Metal Strap That Could Easily Be Pulled Out 4) No Gasket Supplied Between Housing And Top As Shown In One Of The Product Photos The Good: Mechanical Parts Are Of Better Than Good Quality So I: 1) Replaced Strap With Waterproof Cord Fitting From Local Home Repair Store For $3.00 2) Added Ring Terminal To Ground Wire And Screwed To Case Using Existing Screw From Flimsy Strap 3) This Is Probable Excessive, But I’m Getting A Gasket for the Lid Made Via 3D Printing. Overall, I Am Giving This A 5 Star Review Because The Parts I Really Needed To Be Heavy Duty Are the Housing And Lid, And It Pretty Much Is What I Expected. Also, I Consider This A 10 Amp Devise Which Is A Lot More Than I Need For My Applications. With The Modofocations It Now Compares With Foot Switches Costing 3 Times As Much.

This is a revelation. The switch on my lamp failed in an always on position. This was an inexpensive way to avoid tossing out the light. The switch seems durable and was ready to go out of the box and was available for a reasonable price. Works great.

This was ALMOST perfect. Button works great, but the cord from the button to the wall could stand to be a lot longer. Our christmas tree is tucked in a corner, and the plug is behind it. This does help me from having to squeeze between the tree and the wall to reach the outlet, so it will work.

Certainly might spend it over unnecessary. For a senior adults that is a real big plus!!

got it it 3 years ago. it was used all the time, numerous times a day, it finally died. considering the price and what I was looking for, I think this thing did exactly what I wanted and needed it to do.

My understanding of "normally open" means when the switch is open when there is no interaction, like stepping on the pedal. An open switch is an open circuit, meaning there is no complete electrical circuit thus the table saw (in my case) is not on. That's not what happened. With my foot off the pedal, the saw was on, and when I pressed on the pedal, the saw went off. So I swapped the wires and the saw was always on whether or not you stepped on the pedal. So I sent it back for a refund and spent $20 more for a different manufacturer.

Cool foot switch. I use them on garbage disposals and mount them in the toe kick area of the cabinets at a safe distance to avoid accidents. I also used one for a foot actuated auxiliary horn in my truck. It’s also nice that it can be used normally open or closed depending on the need.

Used this for my Christmas tree. Absolutely perfect.

Nice solid frame and easy to put in your own extension cord of the length you want. Mine simply to control a meat grinder and it works well.
