Great spillway water fall added filtration
So I was looking at a similar product that said it could function as a filter too but it was 4 times the price of this one. Many said this one won't work as a filter but it does for me. I got some steel mesh. Cut and bent it to retain a filter plus under that filter is carbon and ceramic media I have a 1600 gph pump feeding this. It's working great. I added a short piece of hose to the airator to get it out of the water and it's working great

Works for me.
Wasn't going for anything fancy, but It's perfect and works beautifully with bamboo shoots.

Simple waterfall for a small pond
I have just received this and it looks like it is going to be very simple to install. Waiting on the tubing to arrive from Amazon. I wanted to post a photo, however, to show what it looks like. I was concerned due to the reviews that said they had to fabricate an inlet using bulkhead fittings. As you can see from my photo, the one that arrived on June 19,2021 is ready to go, with a 3/4 and 1 inch barbed nipple for the tubing.I'll add to this review once I install it.

Only 3 stars because it arrives incomplete
This is a great waterfall feature. High quality plastic, and it creates a nice clean waterfall spill. However, I am giving it 3 stars because it comes incomplete. The ad says it fits 3/4 or 1" hose. And the picture CLEARLY shows a barb-type fitting on the backside of the unit. However, the actual unit arrives with just a hole in it. Which requires a separate trip to the Big Box store to get the necessary parts. For those of you looking to buy the necessary parts prior to this unit arrives, I had luck with a 3/4" bulkhead fitting with a 3/4 inch male threaded-to-1" barb adapter. I had to use a dremel rotary sander to enlarge the hole just a little to allow the bulkhead fitting to fit. Annoyingly there are two thin channels on the inside, adjacent to the holes, which makes getting a flush seal impossible. I seemed to solve this by placing the flexible gasket of the separately purchased bulkhead fitting on the outside of the unit, and the hard washer on the inside. So far no leaks. But 3 stars because this company misrepresents what comes with the unit, AND makes it difficult to use a standard bulkhead fitting. Other than that, it is a great waterfall feature.

Quiet waterfalls!
I've never used a waterfall spillway before and had been looking for a relatively inexpensive one to experiment with for my indoor pond. I'm very happy with the product! Easy to install and looks beautiful. I have mine positioned so the water pours directly down into the pond instead of running down a rock stair, and I'm amazed at how quietly the water pours rather than all the noisy splashing that just having a hose pouring out does. (Noise is a bit of an issue when it comes to indoor ponds.) My koi love playing in the bubbles and I enjoy being able to hold conversations nearby without yelling!I'm a do-it-yourselfer, so I tried to duplicate this effect on the other end of my pond using a hose, bucket, and a flat stone, but the results were not nearly as aesthetically pleasing or silent. This is definitely one piece of pond equipment that's worth buying instead of trying to make!

Beautiful and perfect size for my pond
I installed this for a “secondary” filter feature to my fish pond. The inlet to this spillway comes from my bio filter and using some foam adhesive and moving around some stone I got it perfectly level and is a great addition. I used 3/4” tubing to connect. There is no top, so if you put any filter media or bio balls in the spillway, you will need something heavier to place on top.

Strong, sturdy, easy to set up, just add pump, tubing and imagination for your ideal set up.
I have a small above pond on my deck. This is a work in progress, work being the operative word. The sound of gently running water is so relaxing I wanted to replicate this. Right now I have the basis for the waterfall feature set up, still working on the rest, but gotta start somewhere. The unit is strong, sturdy and for me easy to situate. Great value for money, just add time and imagination for your perfect set up. Simply hose connection from back of unit to pump, just like a plug and play device. The effects are instant as soon as the pump is turned on and the water trap fills, the water fall starts running. This is such a relaxing feature and for me brings a bit of peace and tranquility to a very hectic life.

Nice even flow to start the waterfall
The media could not be loaded. To help avoid leaks in the rock waterfall, I replaced this with the stones. You level it, and it produces a nice even outflow as seen in the video. I am in the Northeast, so I will be concerned about freezing in the winter and will need to remove water below the inlet nozzle I believe. The pump I have is relatively small probably about 600 GPH.
