Best Product of the Year! Game-changer!!
The media could not be loaded. This was truly the best thing I bought on Amazon this year and maybe even longer! This WORKS for real, It changed my backyard experience with Ava to a feeling of comfort when she is out in the yard roaming instead of stress. I just moved from a home with a fenced in yard and until we can fence this home in the Tumbo is a new fixture. But then there is travel and camping! It was so easy to install I can see taking it on road trips. The quality is excellent and the customer service is just as good. I am happy to find a well thought out dog safety product that has "heart" put into it - not the usual you find in big box stores. Thanks Tumbo Team - keep it up!!! Woof. Col and Ava

First one lasted 3 years. Reasonable.
This actually is a replacement. The first one I purchased 3 years ago. But it is a Godsend. We have a jailbreaker whom absolutely refuses to stay contained. He's a crafty one. This trolly gave him his freedom to roam but also kept him safe in the yard. I didn't expect it to last forever so I knew eventually I'd have to replace it. It was easy to install and only took a few minutes. What failed after three years? First, the bungee chord that attaches to the trolly dry rotted and snapped. That was an easy work around. Clip the chord to the c clamp attached to the trolly. The next day the cable around the tree snapped. Not surprised, really. Jailbreak Gerald is pretty tough on that zip line. He's a big strong dog. Ordered the replacement and I got it overnight. This product works.

overall very good product, but needs easy DIY improvements
overall, well-designed product, thought went into it, especially like shock/spring system which gradually increases tension/pullback, does not snap back dog's neck, etc. - provides for a "soft landing". also like that you can easily unclip the included cable leash, etc.but, needs some simple DIY improvements. first, the washer at either end tend to slide down the cable and may then scrape the vinyl coating off the cable which happened to me in one small spot. easy fix is to add a small zip-tie around cable to hold each washer in place. second issue is the tensioner collapsed, bent, broke after used everyday with active 42 pound siberian husky for about two weeks. I replaced with a heavier duty version of the tensioner found here on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0079GH2KO?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1and I am hopeful these two fixes will now provide more durability.if vendor included both items above, I would have given 5 stars

Strength
A temporarily fix until I build my fence. Holds my 75Lb pitty mix with zero issues. The wheels roll smoothly. Does require a bit of garage door grease from time to time. But works perfectly. The coiled like prevents him from getting tangled.

Great product and customer service.
We have a new puppy who loves to run and the 150-foot length gave him lots of room to exercise. He was a 50 lb stray when we got him 4 months ago. He now weighs 60. He is only on the trolley for short times, not more than 1 to 1 1/2 hours total each day. It was getting hard to pull so we took it down thinking it needed to be cleaned or lubricated. We were surprised to see the glider was sliced by the cable. The company website says they have a 1-year warranty. Sent in the paperwork they requested and got a response right away offering replacements. We have it connected to the house and a tree. The plastic cover has protected both from damage.

Lack of Extreme in the Tumbo Trolley Extreme
Had this installed in our back yard for our 50 lbs. Wheaten Terrier. This was to replace my "home-made" yard runner / trolley that was almost 3 years old and starting to show signs of wear and rust on the steal rachet. I splurged on the Extreme as I didn't want to cut any corners. I was not impressed with the lightweight appearance of the rachet, but it is made of aluminum and shouldn't rust. The wheeled trolley is nice and seems to work well. However, our dog had a good pull on the set up and the gear lock on the pulley completely bent and allowed the cable to unwind from the tensioner. This allowed the line to drop significantly and the trolley useless. Thankfully the cable bend in the cable kept the line from completely pulling out of the pully assembly. otherwise, our dog would have taken off and gotten away. I straighten out the lock as much as I could and retightened the ratchet (picture). I just contacted Trumbo about replacing the part. Will update review with their response. I am skeptical that a new one would fare much better. If you have a smaller dog or a passive dog that won't pull much the product is fine.

If you order, check product length as soon as you receive and expect no communication from seller.
Update, dog destroyed it completely. Carabiner on one end was completely inadequate,, made out of aluminum? Wire was short and not able to withstand even a month of my 120 pound pup. She destroyed the wire on the end (where the line wrapped around the one tree with the loop) and the slider along with the biner. Definitely not up to the challenge of a larger dog.I bought the 200 foot version of this, what I received was maybe 100 foot. Box says 200 ft but line is definitely NOT 200ft. I did contact seller but was never gotten back to which is why I gave it such a low rating. I did go ahead and install it. It was reasonably easy to install and seems to be sturdy enough for my 1 yr old 120 lb anatolian mix female. I would suggest since you put the locking carabiner on the one end you put another on the other end. Other than the inadequate length and lack of communication from seller it seems to be a good product.

Super easy to install and durable
We got this to use on trips where we don't have access to a fenced yard, as well as to use in our own yard (supervised) to stop our dog from fencing fighting the neighbors dogs, because she kept tearing her feet up. It was very easy to set up, durable and strong, and luckily our dog figured out the limits of it very quickly after we showed her she couldn't just run loose. Overall I would reccomend this if you need a zip line. Just remember to only use a harness on your dog when using this.

If you have a pup that is reactive or escape artist...here is your solution!
I have a large dog that has anxiety and is a bit reactive so I no longer trust him on a wireless fence. This product has been a perfect solution. Now my dogs can run and play together without worrying about large dogs passing by on the street. This product holds 120 lbs super strong dog without any issues. The coiled wire expends and goes back to the original shape everytime. It is important to know that every part of the leash from where you attach the dog to a trolley to the dogs harness is metal. So there is no weak parts. Even the bungee that reduces the impact on the dog has coiled wire around it, so if the bungee breaks the dog is still contained. The trolley works exceptionally well. It is smooth and solid.I was worried that it will not be sufficient, however, it truly is a quality product. Worth the price. I actually purchased another one for my foster dogs. The only issue so far I found was that when I tighten the line, the stopper stripped a bit of the plastic. Although that may have been my fault. However, I can attest that the wire underneath is great quality. So far the wire has been exposed for several months and it looks shiny and new. I may just cover it with some electrical tape.I could not be happier with this product. Beats spanding thousands of dollars on a fence.Thank you.

No tangles
Perfect if you don't have a dog fence. The coil will straighten out over time. Our dog is a beagle X. A larger dog will straighten the coil quickly. It is easy to install and very sturdy
