Not bad for the price
I got new safety glasses for work. But the frames are a little loose on me. And it gets annoying to have to constantly push them back up my nose every few minutes. I used to see people do this and think to myself, what a strange habit. Why dont they just adjust the fit of their glasses. Well now I know why. Its impossible! I tried to use the straps that are adjustable. But they kept coming loose. I tried tying a knot in them. But then I couldnt adjust them on the fly. So when I saw these I thought why not try them out. Im so glad I did. The dont need to be periodically adjusted. They stretch so they let the from move naturally, and then return them to place you set. Without manual adjustment. They work great. Even after I got them we.

My Croakies from 31 years ago finally gave out ... so I got the same Croakies1
I had the same Croakies for 31 years (yep, that's not a typo) and they were great. I used them for my sunglasses mostly and often wore them in the water or out skiing/snowboarding. They were still snug, comfortable and pliable after all the time and wear and tear. The only reason I searched for a new strap was because the stitching on the Croakies finally started to come apart because the material was starting to degrade a bit. After buying 2 other sets of eyeglass straps, I was surprised but pleased to see that the new Croakies look just like my old ones ... exactly! And they are made in the USA. Just like with my first pair that I got in my 20s, I have zero complaints about the function, design or comfort of my new Croakies. The profit margin is probably pretty good given the fabric and thread used to make these but well worth how great they are! I look forward to wearing my Croakies into my 80s!

Keeps My Lenses Where They Need to Be
I don't have anything to compare this to, but it decisively solved the problem of glasses sliding down my nose during humid weather. Pushing glasses back up isn't that big a deal, unless I'm using both hands for something else at the moment, like pushing a lawnmower or riding a bike, or unless I've already pushed my glasses back up a hundred times since I started my walk five minutes ago. The sleeves of the retainer slip on easily. I believe that part of the reason it works is by making the thin, slippery arms of glasses larger and less slippery, which helps to keep the lenses where they need to be in relation to eyeballs. I say this because I cinched my glasses on too tightly for comfort the first time, before discovering my glasses stay on perfectly well, for hiking at least, even when there's a bit of slack in the retainer. I've used them for a month so I can't comment on durability, but there are no apparent signs of deterioration so far. Best six bucks I've spent in a while.

Fine on the Maine Coast
I picked these up in preparation for a trip on a schooner off of the coast of Maine, because I had no desire to lose my prescription sunglasses in the ocean. I was expecting high winds, and was not disappointed. I have been aware of the brand for decades, and it's a simple enough premise, so I thought I'd try them out. Easy to put on or take them off of the glasses, and they worked just fine. There is a slight adjustment to wearing the glasses - it may stretch out the frames a little as you go over your head instead of straight onto your face, but that is a pretty minor adjustment. They stay high on the back of your head, didn't tangle with the hat I was wearing [which had laces to help it seat better and stay on my head in the wind] There is a reason that Croakies have been around for so long - it's a simple product, and it works well.

Thanks
Arrived exactly as described.

No more slip-sliding away! Thanks to Croakies.
The croakies were purchased for my adult disabled son. His glasses were always sliding down his nose. The croakies were a challenge to slip onto his glasses; but once attached, they have worked out beautifully. They are not as snug around the back of his head as I expected, but they DO THE JOB. And that's what counts! Thank you.

Not even close to the original Croakies quality.
I've worn Croakies for at least 20 years. In all that time, every one of them has been top quality and exceptionally durable. I could get a year or more out of each one. I purchased this one on November 5, 2024. It's only January 23, 2025 and it's already slipping off my glasses every day and the material across the entire length is separating. I have to replace them already. This one has the Croakie logo imprinted on it but I'm having a hard time believing this is a genuine Croakie product.

Meh ... there's better options
Other than one of those long adjustable tethers that have a rubberized loop at each end that I'd purchased years ago, and then went for years without anything, and continually pushed my glassed up on my face, since they were sliding down my oily nose, this Croakies strap is the first product I purchased in quite a while to hold my glasses in place. They did a good job of holding my glasses in place, and they're fairly adjustable, but the bad part is that they're so thick that they made my ears stick out like an elf. I don't make cookies in a hollow tree, and I'm a bit fond of my small, flat-to-the-head ears, and therefore don't want them sticking out like I'm Galadriel's short nephew. The other thing is that the material began to delaminate. What the heck? And precisely because I was afraid that they'd do that, is precisely why I never washed them ... that and because I only had one pair. The other bad thing IMHO is that they're rather ubiquitous-- a bit large in the profile. Here's this one-inch strap on the back of your head that says CROAKIES. I don't like being a walking advertisement, so I'm not a fan of that sort of thing. I always thought that the people walking around with a t-shirt that says some name brand of sneaker or car was a bit of an idiot for paying to be a walking billboard for someone else's product. Or is it that they want to say "Hey look at me, I've got a pair of these sneakers. See how cool I am?" Pfft. The only good things I can think of concerning these Croakies is that they're fairly cheap, and comfortable. However I've discovered a much lower profile, much more adjustable, and a little less on the elf ears product. I'll leave it at that. You'll have to see my other review to discover it.

Safety FIrst
Bought two pair of these, and they work well. Only issue I have is that my every day glasses have rubber on the arms and the fit is very snug, so much so I cannot pull them on all the way for fear of damaging my glasses. Sunglasses, with plastic arms, work just fine. Took a hit dead on the glasses frame a while ago and they kept the glasses from hitting the floor. Will tell a friend.

Not the same Croakies material.
The material is not the same Croakies used to be made of, I've worn Croakies for at least 30 years. In all that time, every one of them has been top quality and exceptionally durable. I purchased this one on December 5, 2024. It's started slipping off my glasses right away. I replace two of them for the same two glasses and they do not work any more. This one has the Croakie logo imprinted on it but I'm having a hard time believing this is a genuine Croakie product. Update- after a few days using this product, the soft external fabric is separating from the “neoprene”.
