This is ingenious
Intro: I'm an older surfer, SUP'r, and SUP surfer from a mainland beach town and am fortunate enough to have a home gym full of two-dimension balance training tools. My tools range from a half length SUP board on a BOSU trainer and Indo board bag, bongo board, free balance roller board, and so on down to individual flat/round half rollers for each foot (I only have two - feet). This trainer has it all in a small form factor. There are several really smart design features. One, being the four balance surfaces for different uses and progressive training challenges (native curve and three modules). Each square module has a moderate roll axis and more aggressive roll axis. By rotating the module 90 degrees in the board frame, one can set the aggressive roll direction for side-to-side action or toe-heel action. The other axis of course being the moderate roll side. How clever is that? Third, the board design has just the right amount of nose and tail kick for its dimensions, and is constructed to very precise standards. The modules fit really snug in the board frame to promote confidence in the solid X-Y axis movements. For those who work hours and hours at their desk like I do, this adds another dimension to the standing work station setup. I used to use a BOSU training ball, but that diameter is a bit cumbersome to fit under a desk and be able to get close enough to the keyboard/mouse surface on the standing work space. The size of the Balance Surfer is ideal for this application. Per the instructions, the lowest green (M) module puts just the right amount of X-Y movement to be able to improve your balance without fatigue for very long periods. Your results may vary. I'm way over 60 years old and 6'4" tall and it's perfect for me. No, it's not cheap in cost but the time and effort that went into the prototype process really shows in the final product. It's well priced for the innovation brought to market and more importantly the person who truly seeks to make big improvements to their athletic balance and strengthen their legs. 'Nuff said.

Good training endurance tool...
Happy with this board. I have 2 race paddleboards - a NSP Ninja 24' x 21" which is a displacement hull racing board and a SIC Maui X 12'6" x 24-5/8" Prolite - again a displacement hull racing board, and the Blue Planet Balancing Board is pretty good for building balancing endurance. If you paddle miles on flat or choppy water in rivers and lakes like I do, this board is a good tool to use while watching tv, or working out doing squats and such. If you are going to use the board on a wooden floor, I suggest applying a piece of 1/2" electrical tape (white) along the bottom rails or use a mat, or area rug. I use electrical tape to protect the edge of my carbon paddles and even the top deck of my boards. Scotch electrical tape comes in colors and lasts. It is easy to peel off and doesn't leave a glue residue. May not need to but just to be safe for your floors. Well done, Blue Planet.

As expexted
Quality seems good. So far I have tried the two easiest and it was a big challange differance. Looking forward to let kids play with and practise my surfing: general balance and tube stance. Edit after 3 days. Im sorry I must add that it is making som knirky noise, not a big deal but cant leave that 5 star anymore. However, I would add that I love the different challange level. You can rotate the color boxes 90 degrees so a total of 7 variaties! My kids really love it, and im going for a wavepool barrel in two weeks, So im stoked to practice «tucking» each day now!

6 Levels Instead of 3
This balance board is very addicting. I like to do parkour and when I'm at home standing at my desk this board really helps me practice my balance. It's also really nice for the people who like to move around and fidget as you can make it really easy with the green one, or more difficult with the red one. I've found that if you turn the blocks 90 degrees it can make the board more challenging so its basically like there are 6 levels. Highly recommend if you are looking for the best balance board. The variety is top notch.

Using A Lot, Every Day
Not sure what's wrong with me, but I just can't get comfortable standing in one place. It's like, when you're thrashing about in bed trying to find the perfect position, except you're simply trying to stand still. I've known for a long time I need to start standing more at my desk while working but that normal thing that most people can do without thinking - straight ol' standing on terra firma - was distracting to me. And, it always resulted in lower back pain, which I don't normally feel otherwise. With this balance board, though, I am happily shifting from side to side, or tipping forward and back, or putting all my weight on one leg, while grading papers, writing Amazon reviews, or whatever. Then, whenever I want an extra mental and body challenge, I up the level, and have a grand time trying to maintain my balance. I've also used it to add instability to my weight-bearing exercises. During the work day, I usually stand for like an hour, hour and a half at a time, 3 or 4 times a day. And no more back pain. Some people have commented on the roughness of the EVA-topped version, and I concur with that. I can stand barefoot on it, but the soles of my feet are not overly pleased. Right now I'm wearing socks. KInda wished I had gotten the smooth top, but maybe that version is too slippery for those of us who prefer going shoeless. Just keep this in mind if this might be an issue for you. Overall, I highly recommend it for its design, flexibility, and the ethos of the company.

Super Happy!
I just took a chance and purchased another Blue Planet Surfer because the previous one I bought was used, had drink stains, was creaking and I had to return. But this one I got is W-o-r-t-h it. IMO the best most versatile balance board offering right now. Or at least in the top two. Don't know exactly how it will hold up over time, but it feels sturdy and I am only using it on carpet. Cost too much to use it on hard or uneven surfaces. And it is FUN and I'm not a teenager. Makes being at my desk in the doldrums of the day more stimulating.

What bang for your buck!
What I like most about this product compared to others is that it comes with 3 different inserts for the bottom, with easy, medium and hard difficulty. I am an elderly reviewer, and several times a day, I look for one foot balance of 18 secs, which, which NIH says is mandatory at my age. My son bought one of the more fixed height devices and found it very difficult. Perhaps if he had started with this product, he would be more enthusiastic.

Perfect for improving balance - love it!
I was a bit worried that I'd find this too hard to do; that I'd fall off and injure myself. I was also worried that it might be another little exercise device that ends up in a cupboard or behind a chair...but I was really pleased to first of all find that it was really easy and enjoyable on the low settings - then pretty quickly I could move to the more challenging levels. Never felt unsafe at any time because at worst you might kind of stumble off it (make sure you have some space around you) and just sort of step off. In terms of whether I'll keep using it - well, so far I'm sort of addicted to it haha. I find that I can just do 5 to 10 minutes here and there. I think I will keep it going because it's enjoyable and easy but I can certainly feel it working out my muscles too and building strength. My balance has improved very considerably after just a week or so. It arrived well packaged, it's very nicely manufactured, sturdy and very well thought out. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to improve core strength & balance.

Super Balance Board
Für alle was dabei. Kleinkind bis Profi. Spitzenqualität. Bei Parkettboden ist eine Unterlage zu empfehlen, da sonst Kratzer entstehen können. Sehr effektives Trainingsgerät, das Spaß macht

brilliant, even for seniors
The balance board is nice and sturdy and very well made. It is also perfect for seniors to help maintain balance as you get older as it doesn't wobble around too much when starting off low then progressing to the more challenging modules as you get better. Would recommend.
