Posardi, Tomatoes, 28 oz (Pack of 3) + Includes-Free Basil from Rhino Fine Foods, 071 oz

I made my first batch of tomato sauce yesterday using these Posardi Whole Peeled Sardinian tomatoes I received on Saturday. When I tasted the sauce and tomatoes I couldn't believe how absolutely delicious this was. I decided to make the sauce with sliced white button mushrooms, and I must say I had to stop myself from just eating all of the sauce then and there. I had heard that Sardinian tomatoes were the best, and it is absolutely true. I'm sure I will be ordering more from Rhino Fine Foods in the future. The complimentary packet of dried basil was slightly torn and I fed some of it to my floor and one can was slightly dented, but I was pleased with the speed of shipping and delivery. Most importantly, the contents of the dented can was fine and was used in my first batch of tomato mushroom pasta sauce. Bravo Sardinia and Rhino foods.

We love these tomatoes during fall, winter, and spring when our local tomatoes aren’t in season. They’re sweet and delicious.

The first time I’ve tried Posardi tomatoes. The cans arrived in perfect shape with no dents. The tomatoes are a deep red. Most of all, the flavor is amazing. I have tried canned tomatoes of all brands available from Italy, Sicily, and now Sardinia. These are the finest among them all. They are slightly sweet with a rich tomato flavor. They cook down without leaving water on the plate. Right now I am on a bit of a budget due to having a hip replacement and heart surgery and these tomatoes are not cheap. I wanted to spend my money on the best tomatoes I could get to make a New Jersey Sunday Gravy for my family here in Texas. Because of these tomatoes my sauce was fantastic. I WILL buy Posardi tomatoes again when I can afford another order. A great product like this is worth waiting and saving for!Terry from Texas!

These are my favorite tomatoes for sauce. I like them even better than San Marzanos.No green ends and sweet.Pricy but worth it to me.

Best canned tomatoes ever -------- I use over pasta with my best meatballs that I make ---- no need for any spaghetti sauce ---- I only add fresh basil. Do cut up the tomatoes a little.

I always used San Marzano tomatoes until trying a can of these once. I won’t go back! These are so smooth and flavorful, they practically melt into my sauce.

Tomatoes arrived promptly. Intense tomato flavor. The whole tomatoes are in a thick tomato puree rather than the usual liquid. I wish they were made from organic tomatoes.
