I ordered this sketch book mainly because I want to use the black paper in my bullet journal. The cover is really really nice, it's soft to the touch with a little velvety feel. The paper is REALLY thin but because I'm probably mostly going to be pasting it into my Bullet journal when I'm feeling the black, this is what I wanted. I did a pen test using my Gelly Roll and some Gold and Silver pens which did well with no ghosting or bleed through. The metalic brush pens I have didn't do so well but you can see that for yourself. What really took the stars away in my opinion was this pesky foggy white line that runs down the middle of the page on LOTS of the pages. It's more pronounced on some pages. It's not really worth returning the book but I won't be buying it again and unless they say it was a quirk or one off. This would definitely be a no go for anyone wanting to use it as a sketch book or black journal.

I ordered 2 of these and one was okay. I say okay because I also bought a Pentallic Black sketch book which is just amazing and blows this book out of the water! However, I digress, the other book has big white lines through each page and even on the cover page! To boot, the pages themselves are flimsy and cheap like they were printed from a xerox machine with black paper then simply assembled! I’m being generous giving this 3 stars ⭐️ TBH! Tragic! Very upset for my son and myself. DO NOT BUY THIS. JUST GET THE PENTALLIC

Yeah, the pages are white pages that have been printed black, which is okay, but then there are two vertical lines in the same place on every page, on both pages, like you can get on an inkjet printer. My kid likes it, which is the most important part, but I wouldn't want to buy it for myself.

These are not black pages. They are white pages with black ink printed, and not very well. I will not be wasting my money on this, see photo, white lines throughout the book. Very disappointed will take a physical trip to Hobby Lobby. Can't seem to get this right, second attempt to buy black paper through Amazon. -(

The paper is magnificent as you can see in the sketch i created above. The paper has a nice smooth texture to it and works well with ivory white and liquid chalks which i prefer to use on black paper.

Metallic markers and white pen drawings look stunning on this paper! It is a nice lightweight book of paper to carry with you- I always take it with me to draw in while I am waiting for an appointment. The only criticism I have is that the paper is very thin and tears if you press too hard on it with a pen.

I bought this for my students, and of course I need an inexpensive way for them to be able to draw on black paper only one side can be used as the other side has thin white lines going through it so if you make a mistake on one side you can’t flip it over

I purchase this black paper for my daughter to do art with. It’s great quality paper and perfect for any crafts. I also bought the white, gold, and silver pens on amazon that work great on this black paper. The quality is thick and here my daughter used paint and the paper belt up without getting weak.

Was impressed with the quality of this sketch book and I can’t wait to do more metallic painting. I do recommend this book and the seller

The paper weight and quality is not what I expected. It seems as though the black is actually printed on the paper and not actual black paper.

This paper was to thin I love my black waterpaper was more expensive but worth it this stuff is crappy

The paper is not drawing paper, it is regular writing paper. It is okay, but not good enough for art.
