Tubes are good for audio
Purchased this tube amp about 2 years ago and it has worked very well for me. Great sound quality, everything works properly including the fiber, coax, USB and BT. It has plenty of power to drive big speakers and has been totally reliable. I had a 1959 HK tube amp and wow did it sound good, but I had to rebuild it every few years. I finally sold it and got this little one. If you want to try a tube amp, I recommend this one. Not too expensive and it has all the functionality that you need for digital music too.

Reasonable amp
Sounds good in ratio to the cost. This is a quality amp. It is not a few thousand dollar tube amp. It does all it should and sounds good. I would buy again. I am not replacing a McIntosh amp with this.

What a sonic difference. Wow!!!
I replaced a little bear preamp with this in my system. I hooked up my powered sub to the BluTube and then hooked up the speakers to the BluTube instead of the powered subwoofer and what a difference I hear. The USB works great, the phono playback is wonderful and very tubey. The bluetooth connection is perfect. What a sonic difference this provides for my vinyl. UPDATE! The more I use this the more I love it! The tubes are certainly in the mix. Turn on the turntable, drop the needle and then turn on the amp. You will not hear any sound until the tubes begin to warm up and of course the sound increases as they get warmer. What a wonderful looking and sounding change to what I had before. As for the meter on the amp, this measures the intensity of sound from your into the amp, phono is low, cd is much stronger. There is no defect in the meter.

Don't use a powered sub!!!!
Sounds great if you don't use the sub out. I have been trying many alternatives for the las 10 months!! There is a droning 60hz hum that happens on the sub side. Not an issue with the desktop speakers, only with my Polk 12" powered sub (which has been used for 10+ years with no issue). Tried different cables, tried grounding equipment externally, nothing helps. Seems some sort of internal grounding is causing an issue.

Amzing amp Excellent value
Purchased the Rockville tube amplifier with the sub out option. It was well packaged and easy to set up. Had it up and running in about 10 minutes with bt connectivity and playing music. Have a small cd player connected to the auxiliary out and Klipsch 2.5 speakers with a new Monoprice subwoofer. Very very impressive what you can do with $149.00 amp and some stuff laying around. The Rockville is amazing for the money. Will it give you the Mark Levinson/Thiel speaker combo sound? Nope. But for what it cost I am thoroughly impressed and very satisfied. Excellent value. Well built and nice sound. Honesty, blown away by the amazing sound for the $$ spent.

Sweet combination of old and new tech for listening pleasure
I initiall bought this to just connect between turntable and my Klipsch tower speakers. Setup was easy and I'm basically able to use it like a receiver. I also have a Playstation console and PC connected to so I can channel audio from different sources to this amplifier. Flicking the front switch let's me switch between turntable, TV (Playstation and PC) and Bluetooth audio sources. Now the sound from this amplifier is crisp clear and sounds great, no complains. I'm amazed how good it makes my records sounds. Sound from other sources sounds great too. Asthetically, it's a perfect blend of modern and vintage, I love it. I also love how the orange lighting matches the target light on turntable and complements the copper color of my speakers. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this amplifier.

Sound quality from Aux and HDMI/Optical are fantastic. Bluetooth has an audible hum.
The sound quality is amazing from this tube amp as long as you're driving the Auxiliary input or the HDMI/Optical/Coax. I feed it with a hifi DAC so the SNR and THD are inaudible to me. Flip it over to Bluetooth and you have an audible hum coming from the speakers when there is nothing playing. Can't notice it during quiet sections of music much, but it is there. VU meter is sluggish but works. I put 1 star for remote control because my unit did not come with a remote. Should it have? It has all analog control knobs... It would be cool if they were motorized but I highly doubt it. Driving Klipsch R-280f Floor Stand Speakers, it can get plenty loud - enough to feel the bass in your chest without any distortion. For reference I listen to mostly rock, alternative, metal, and some pop when the kids are around. The EQ is touchy and can add more bass or treble than you'd ever need. I prefer neutral sound, but the bass knob can give plenty of kick at +2 (-10 to +10 range). Any more sounds extremely muddy to my ears, but some may prefer the extra boost for smaller/less sensitive speakers. My speakers tend to run harsh on the treble side so the treble is perfect at 0. I am overall happy with my purchase since the bluetooth will only be used by my wife/kids who don't notice the hum nor care enough anyways. There's an ambiance to the unit too that just looks cool in my shop. The glowing tubes and VU meter look classy from a distance. Fit and Finish isn't bad either. From less than two feet away you can see some of the cheaper material choices and design elements that are slightly janky near the tubes but it's all forgivable once the speakers are bumping and I'm getting stuff done.

Warm and Wonderful!
So I bought this 5 years ago mostly for the headphone amp. I've always thought it was great for that. Today I was setting up a new television with a couple Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 and a Bic F sub with my Sony STRDH 190 Receiver. Well the Sony sounded clean but lacked something. I swapped it out with the Rockville and the difference was wonderful. Even just watching an Amazon series the sound was so much warmer and richer. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if this could be down to the Rockville having an optical input which the Sony lacks but I kind of doubt it. Rockville gas me impressed! Needless to say, I will be using the Rockville in this little setup! I only wish it had a remote!! If it had a remote it would be perfect!
