Worked well for the job I had
Use to get the hollow nut off my old type 1 vw oil filler - bit into and grabbed the inside of the nut really well. Much easier to use than trying to get into the slot in the top of the nut.

Worked perfectly for me
Was trying to separate the oil filer from the alternator stand on a VW T1 engine using the recommended socket attachment with no joy! Someone recommended this so at the cost thought nothing to lose. Worked perfectly so no issues recommending it.

Easy to remove broken pipe inside another pipe

I needed this to remove a piece of PVC fitting that had broken off screwed into a pump. Definately worth the trouble to get the right tool for a one-off job since damaging the motor would have really sucked- the tool is very solid and if I needed to do this sort of thing all the time I'd be happy to keep it forever. In my case, the interior diameter of the PVC fitting was slightly smaller than the 3/4 inch. I gently hammered the tool in, letting it create groves in the pipe interior to improve my grip, then used a vice grip to rotate it to get the pipe out. Worked like a charm, and no damage to the tool from the hammering or vice grip.

Worked for me. Had a broken nylon plug in the motorhome hot water tank and after fiddling with these, trying to get around propane supply line, took me all of 30 seconds to remove the broken plug. I'll most likely never use these again, but this one use saved a bundle compared to what a RV repair depot would charge for the job.
