I recently purchased the Meross Smart Outdoor Plug, a Waterproof WiFi Outdoor Outlet, from Amazon.com.I opened the box and found a nicely packaged,stylish, black two outlet waterproof switch. The devicehas a short sturdy line cord with a three prong grounded plug on one end. The other end houses twothree prong grounded receptacles, labelled 1 and 2, with rubber covers which block water from enteringin case you only want to use a single receptacle. The top of the device has an illuminated rocker switch whichallows the user to manually turn on/off both or either of the outlets. On the reverse side is a slottedwhole for easy mounting and the label with specifications. Of particular note is the Output: 10A maximumload. This device is particularly great for medium current drawing devices like outdoor lamps, celebrationlights, radio, tv, charging applications. Not for high current drawing devices like heaters or heavy dutymotors, please check device current draw in these cases. Also inside the box is a small manual which detailsinstallation and use. The directions are thorough, complete and understandable. Since I am a long timecustomer of Meross, I already had the Android Meross App installed on my phone. I opened the app andinitiated a search for the new device. In a matter of seconds the device was discovered and added tomy current device list. I turned on and off each of the outlets from my phone as a first test. It wassuccessful. I moved to my outdoor mancave and hooked it up to a live receptacle. The first device Iplugged in was decorative party lights and the other device is a low current overhead ceiling fan. Iused the Meross App to control both devices successfully. Next I tested it using my Google Smartspeaker and Google Home App too. I was able to turn both outlets off and on using my voice. I really love the simplicity of the device itself and the short configuration time. I would highly recommend this device to anyone looking for a outdoor dual recepticle, wifi controlled and waterproof based upon usability and cost. Great product, Meross, keep up the good work.

I have many Homekit compatible switches, outlets, controllers, locks etc.Up until now I have standardized on big named items from iHome, iDevices, LeGrande, Ecobee (Motion wall switch is fantastic btw) etc.So I was shopping for another outdoor outlet and I was checking for a duplex HomeKit unit. This popped-up in my research. From the pictures it looked pretty good, but you never really know having never heard of this brand. The reviews were decent and the pricing was excellent.But because this isn't just hardware but is an electronic system I was extra careful in research, especially because of the low cost.So, I ordered it.I have it mounted on a deck perimeter to control two different lighting systems — Which are HomeKit automated.It installed in Homekit just as easily as any other. It is configurable as independent outlets or as a single device per HomeKit specifications. It is HomeKit fast in response and has all the features that you would expect (not dimmable - F.Y.I.) And WiFi is strong.It is physically solid as a rock and equivalent to the similar in size, construction & ruggedness to the nearly same iDevices item (which I have two of.)Actually I'm amazed. I'm impressed.I expect Homekit products to be installed and forgotten about – always working and giving no problems, So far for the last several weeks this has performed perfectly. If I have any issues I will update this to reflect, but I'm not expecting anything at this point.For the price and fictionality — this is a home run.

I bought mine 4 years ago. I worked great. Somehow, by either my wifi or the device, it stopped connecting. I reset the device, so I could once again, add it to my Apple Home. This was cut short when i noticed the weather had destroyed the QR Code sticker on the device. After scouring the web for help, i contacted Meross tech support by email. They send me a series of codes to tryout. none worked. remember-this device was 4 years old-, they offered to send me a free replacement. I was floored. No hassles. No not taking the blame. I was still in disbelief. Just 3-4 days later, a new one was delivered. Thanks Meross- but maybe make those QR Code stickers out of vinyl?

This is possibly the easiest HomeKit setup I have ever done with a product! I have more than 40 Apple HomeKit devices in my home, from some very well-known companies, but this is one of the best products I have purchased. I bought it to turn on the fountain and the lights separately. It works flawlessly! I love that it is one device that has separate controls for each outlet. i have two outdoor outlets from another manufacturer that cost WAY more than this, and although it has never failed me, I cannot control the two outlets independently. I can’t say enough good things about this thing! I haven’t had it in the rain yet to see if it holds up, but it looks sturdy and well-built, so I expect it to perform as advertised. If you are looking for an outdoor plug that is controllable from your phone, look no further.2022 Update:Now that I have had this (I have 3) for more than 2 1/2 years, I’m still happy, but It’s not all sunshine and rainbows.One of the units failed and needed a firmware update. The update installed for one of the outlets, but not for the other. I contacted their tech support by email, the only option available, and they gave me a few things to try but nothing worked. They even tried remotely but were unsuccessful, so only one outlet now works on that unit.The other two still work, but will randomly be seen as “No Response” in HomeKit, but will usually reconnect after I go into the native app and connect to them.Would I buy them again? Yes. Based on the quality, price, and performance, they are still the best option I have found so far.
