It does not fit!
this item WILL NOT fit your 1999 Toyota Tacoma. The item is larger than the original stock item. You can trim off corners and force it into place but will not snap into place.

Perfect
I got this light because the one on my Tacoma had fallen off somehow but this light works great and it was pretty easy to install

Looks good but....
Light bulb included, but is not able to be replaced later. It seems to be a part of the fixture. Fixture did not fit into the space and flops around loose. I was able to screw the 1 point in and after shaving off 1/2" of the black plastic edge get it to almost fit in place.... It wasn't an exact fit on my 98 Tacoma but maybe you'll have better luck.
