Not worth the price
Just ok. Not too bad if not considering the cost. Plastic quality is average. The ladder can be lifted and slightly extended. There are two buttons for sounds, one is the sound of the engine starting and the other is the siren. No battery operated motor or pull back action. A small door can be opened on one side that shows some (dummy) internals of the fire engine. Would've been great at around 1000 Rs. Funnily, it costs more on Amazon than on the Hamley's website. I guess they are adding Amazon's commission. Your kids will enjoy playing with it though, as money and value has no meaning to them yet ;)

Not worth a nickel
First the compartment door wouldn’t open. Gently got it to open but now it won’t stay closed. Ladder extended but now won’t retract. Poorest quality in a toy I’ve seen yet. Sending back.

Much appreciated Fire Engine
Nephew super happy for his new Fire Engine that he got for christmas! Great ladder extension and sound + light effects.One small downside is that the package sounded when it arrived, meaning there is no such thing as a plastic tab to pull before first use, activating the batteries.

My Grandson's Dream Machine!
The sounds and lights on this fire engine are brilliant. From the moment we opened the box my grandson was captivated. He even takes it to bed with him!I have concerns about it's durability as he does tend to be a little rough with it. The top part of the ladder comes off but it just clips back into place.You could find cheaper models but I'm happy with the money paid just for the look on his face - priceless!
