Love-hate relationship with this floss resulting in love only
My review title says it all. I am an older person (70) which means, as a result of aging, my gums have receded resulting in larger gaps between my teeth where the teeth meet the gum line. Oral hygiene now requires a more concerted effort to keep all areas in tip-top shape bc food will get trapped in those areas, not to mention that exposed dentin at the receded gumline holds onto food more easily. (ah…the things to look forward to in old age!) When I came across this floss I could see that reviews were mixed, and I can see why. Unwaxed floss is much more challenging to snap past the tooth-to-tooth contacts. If you have tight contacts, this floss may not be for you. Wait til you are older! Ha! I was curious about non-waxed, bc having used waxed floss my whole life, it was feeling like it was becoming increasingly less effective for me. So I tried the unwaxed. The first time I tried it was frustrating. I was used to waxed floss easily sliding between the teeth contacts. It took effort to get the unwaxed past the contacts. But I kept at it, mostly bc I didn’t have any other floss to which I could run. Wow! This stuff really cleans the teeth gaps and areas around the gums. With no wax there is a lot more friction and a much more effective cleaning of all areas where this floss is used. I am 100% sold and can never go back to waxed. I’m completely used to it now and can navigate the challenge of its use without thinking about it. Last night I ran out of the unwaxed and had to use some waxed floss. TOTALLY unsatisfactory and I felt like I was just performing a duty, not really cleaning my teeth. By the way, using it every night, it took me a year to go through a single container. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

This dentist's daughter recommends! Best floss in a long time. Strong. And unwaxed floss is best!
I'm the daughter of a dentist so I haven't actually BOUGHT floss very often in my life since my Dad always had millions of samples that have taken us literally a lifetime to use up! I've been using waxed floss (with two brands that were way too thick) and waxed dental tape which was completely useless--didn't get anything out from between my teeth at all. In my opinion this floss is actually THIN, not thick, but just double the strand if your teeth have spaces between them. I LOVE that it's unwaxed, as it really does a much better job at getting your teeth and gums completely free of little things that are irritating, like pepper, popcorn hulls, or bits of fruit or something. I also love the refill size that will work in my previous containers that I've used for years. I bought four: one for my bathroom, one for my bedroom, one to keep in my desk at work and one for my car. Very inexpensive and a great value!

Great!
Usable, no complaints. Price reasonable relative to current inflation. Just the right thickness and it doesn't shred in the middle of use.

Good quality, doesn't break, does the job
This is a good product, and works just as well or better than the big name brand of unwaxed floss, which I used for years. This is simply THE product to buy is you need unwaxed floss. It never breaks, either. It's relatively thin, but very durable.

An incredible amount of bang for the buck
This is great for compulsive flossers who like to keep their teeth clean throughout the day...200 yards and has never broken on me or failed to effectively get between some pretty tight teeth. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again. No wax so nothing is left lodged in the gaps. You have to find the right angle and then it slots between the teeth easily. Update, Aug 1 2026: I can no longer use this as it has been yanking on my teeth too hard, it does not slide easily in very tight gaps. Had to switch to a ribbon tape. Otherwise, it's a good floss for people who don't have tightly spaced teeth like I do. I wish they made the same thing in dental tape but they don't.

Good price and packaging but shreds for tight teeth
I really wanted to like this Practicon SmileGoods unwaxed dental floss, but I can only barely tolerate it. Maybe if it was waxed, I could deal with it, but it shreds fairly easily and becomes stuck between my teeth. It might be good for someone who has wider gapped teeth than I do, but I personally would not order it again. I cannot make myself throw it away, so I have kept it as an emergency use if I run out of orders from other brands. I ordered this floss because I loved the idea of less packaging for the amount of product and will give it 3 stars because of that and the price.

I use it for vines, works great! Strong!
THIS is my go to for putting vines up all summer long for morning glories and moon flowers and cypress vines, and they all fill up the side of the house with vigor, the anoles love to live behind them and the hummingbirds love the options. THESE last better than any other "trellis" bc they're easy to take down in winter, and easy to install in spring. lasting thru hurricanes too! BEST OPTION for those pollinators!
