Very Nice Jeweler's Loupe
This is a nice lighted Jeweler's Loupe. It delivers what appears to be a true 30x and the large 25mm lens diameter is definitely a plus, making it much easier to locate the tiny objects your are trying to magnify and to scan a large area.At $12.95 plus $4.99 shipping, the cost was reasonable. However, you might also want to consider two other options I've purchased on Amazon that I like as well.- 40x 25mm, ($7.99 with free shipping). This has the same great 25mm lens diameter and a stronger magnification (too strong for some applications). The only caution is that it took almost two weeks to arrive because it shipped directly from China. [...]- 30x22mm plus 60x12mm combo (11.99 with free shipping): The 22m lens diameter is only slightly smaller. Having the extra 60x12mm lens available is a big help when you need extra magnification. Although it's 12mm diameter is frustratingly small, it's still convenient to have it right there when you need it.

Another specialized magnifier, fairly well made
The sturdy but cheap metal construction and bright LED light made this a handy item. The lens was so-so but for less than five dollars, I can't complain. Because of the 30X power, the lens diameter and working distance are small. But it's much more manageable than a 40X magnifier I bought. The power switch for the LED illuminator is on the bottom of the magnifier. I had to learn to put my finger on it and then turn it away from me before switching it on. The LEDs are pretty bright. Not a brilliant design but I adapted. This may have use for some sort of hobbyist or anybody needing to examine very small detail. I've used this for reading very faint, very tiny (not small) low-contrast print on electronic items. This is not for general reading such as books or magazines. But if you want to read the names of the states on Lincoln Memorial on the back of a five dollar bill, this will work nicely. It will show very small detail on stamps and coins, though collectors could better speak to these applications.A nice bit of kit for the money, but the 30X magnification is not for everybody.

Great!
This thing is really slick. The battery jars loose from time to time, so the light isn't that reliable unless you are very still, but magnification is clear and the light is VERY bright. Good product.

Poor Optical Quality
Small lens size coupled with poor quality optics have rendered this loupe almost unusable. Focus is clear only near the exact center of the lens, and details are difficult to obtain. The light works well, and I occasionally use the light as an aid for other magnifiers. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Great for the money.
I think it's great. That little light is really bright! Seems to be good quality and you can't beat the price.

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY & PURCHASE BETTER QUALITY LOUPE
This really is a cheap piece of work. One of the lenses fell out randomly. The battery was drained within 5 minutes! I ordered new batteries, While installing the new batteries the tool to open the battery cover bent & broke, when I finally got the new batteries in, I found out it wasn't the batteries at all, but the loupe itself was broken from loose wires. All of this right in time for me NOT to be able to return it...... PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY & PURCHASE BETTER QUALITY LOUPE.

perfect
I am a geophysicist and I bought this for the field. I love that it's 30x...its durable..and the lens is huge. (for a hand lens). The illumination helps a lot too. There has been three occasions where a colleague has asked to use it and said they were going to get one similar when they had a chance. Worth every penny.

Perfect For Quick Inspection
I carry this with me in the field when I metal detect. The x10 mag is more than adequate for a quick inspection of items found when needed. The light is helpful in gloomy conditions. I wish they had a lanyard that came with this loupe - it already has a small fastener slot. But I've improvised. I rate this as a good value for the money.
