AmazonBasics USB-C (Male) to Micro USB (Female) Adapter - Black, 4-Pack

I was actually surprised when I opened the package at how small these are. There is not much bloat with these adapters and they do not add much to the plug. I have used several different Micro USB cables plugged into a few different devices. I tested: Windows 10 Laptop Windows 10 Desktop Macbook Pro Pixel 3 Phone Iphone Data transfer DOES work, but had some issues getting data transfer to work with my Macbook. That could have been user error but I mainly use Windows with my phone. Data transfer with my Windows laptop and desktop worked well and I had no issues. The chain is very convenient and easily fits with my keys. I keep one on my keychain, one at my desk at work, and 2 spares at home for guests if needed. I love the price and design of these adapters. I highly recommend this and am very happy with my purchase!

What? Another micro-USB standard? Sheesh! These adaptors allow you to use your current chargers and charging cords from the previous micro-USB standard for the new one. Why a new one? Well, the one advantage I see is that you no longer have to worry about which side is up when plugging it into your device because it will work either way. This set was a good value, attractive, connected firmly, and worked perfectly to support our newest device.

I bought two version of this product, the white ones and the metallic gray ones with the chain. I've had the white ones for over 3 weeks now, the gray ones I just got. As far as functionality they work exactly as described. With a the 2A OE charger that came with my phone I get 2A charge current into my phone using these adapter with a micro-USB cable (I used the AccuBattery app as my ammeter); my phone even displays "charging rapidly" on the lock screen as with the OE cable and charger. That's as good as you'll get with these adapters, 2A, from what I understand. I was using the adapters to charge my Moto G Power phone and my wife's identical Moto G Power unit, I tested all 8 devices and have been using 3 of them consistently for weeks now. Same can be said for bi-directional data transfer, they worked flawlessly but of course at USB 2.0 speeds. I even used the adapter in my car and had flawless Android Auto performance on a 6 hour drive on my cheapie retractable USB cable. The USB port in my car also appears to supply around 2A charging current since my phone would also display "rapidly charging" with the retractable cable+adapter. The only downside, and it's a small one, is the ludicrously small chain with the metallic gray version. The C-clamps on there are just too small to fit around nearly any USB cable out there except for the flat/skinny ones on retractable cables. I had to use needle-nose pliers to open up the C-clamp, it worked but man is the end funny looking now (but at least is secure). Except for that stupid chain implementation these things work exactly as I expected; they do not get hot with 2A charging but just barely warm, the phones I tested them with have zero issues charging or with data transfer, and mechanically they inserted with a good "click" into the phones (all 8 of them) and with a reassuring "click" when inserted into my micro-USB cables.

Recently upgraded to a Samsung S20 FE from an S7, so I needed up migrate from MicroUSB to USB C for all of my cabling. These adapters let me use my old cables for both fast charging (just as fast as the cable that came with the phone) and Android Auto (which is always a concern when buying new cables). Worked perfectly.

Upgraded phones recently and charging port changed from micro USB to USB C. Currently have a bunch of USB A charging cables. To reuse these cables I needed some adapters for conversion to USB C. Reading online, many of the adapters on Amazon are not built to USB spec and could melt. Luckily happened upon this item that Amazon "makes" and sells. These are also USB-IF certified. Being both Amazon's own brand and USB-IF certified gave me good confidence in using these adapters. I also purchased a USB current/power monitor for some quick testing. Comparing charging currents for the same cable and charger with and without the adapter (old and new phone), the values were the same or very close. So, it looks like the adapter works as intended without spiking the output currents of my chargers which could lead to a melt down or a fire. Build quality wise the chargers are a nice white color and the metal USB C connector is firm with the micro USB side giving a nice snug fit to my old cables. Would buy again if more were needed.

Pros: Works as intended. Nice, snug fit, fast charging, good price. Cons: I thought the keychain sounded like such a great idea. The adapter is small and easy to lose. I figured the keychain would clip over the charging cable and keep everything together...but nope, the eye part is too small to fi around the cable. I have several brands of cable, and it doesn't fit any of them. So, they work, at least until i lose them. (Or use bread bag twisties to connect them, lol.)

When I recently got a new phone, was a little dismayed that it used a USB C connection for chargers. Found these adapters on Amazon, and ordered hoping to get a bit more useful lifetime out of my drawer full of micro USB cables. I am happy to say that they work really well so far, haven't had to buy any dedicated USB C cables to date.

I got these for my new phone (Google pixel 2) because I didn't want to make all my old charging cords obsolete. I think they're actually really cute! I was impressed by how small and compact they are，I feel that most electronics adapters are clunky and awkwaed. But these are great! They are small and slim, and they will slide down all the way over the micro usb so that the adapter becomes flush with the host. I mostly am using these on Anker brand mini USB coeds.

Endlich vereinigen sich immer mehr alle Anschlüsse Richtung einen Standard, und zwar usb-c. Die Übergangsphase wird noch ein bisschen dauern, viele - wie ich - haben noch micro-usb Kabeln oder Geräte, dann sind diese Adapter sehr nützlich. Mir gefallen auch optisch, bis auf die "Keychain", wirkt nicht so edel, es wäre einfacher und schöner eine Schnur zu verwenden, dennoch, ziehe deswegen nicht eine Sterne weg, denn die Funktionalität ist vorhanden. Getestet nicht mit Daten sondern nur um Handy zu laden.

Non c'è molto da dire per questo adattatore se non sottolineare la grande comodità. Vista l'ormai ampia diffusione di connettori USB-C in alternativa alla tradizionale presa micro USB, avere un adattatore femmina micro USB e maschio USB-C permette di utilizzare un solo cavo con più dispositivi. La confezione contiene 4 adattatori dalle ridottissime dimensioni e nel complesso ben realizzati. Non posso che consigliarne l'acquisto a chi interessato.

Die Mirco USB auf USB Typ C adapter von AmazonBasics sind bisher die best verarbeiteten adapter dieser Art die ich hatte, sogar besserer als die von Samsung. Die Adapter, adaptieren lediglich von Micro USB auf USB Typ C und das wirklich verlässlich. Nachdem man von einem Mirco USB Handy auf ein USB Typ C Gerät umgestiegen ist, hat man das Problem das man einen Haufen an Micro USB Kabel hat, aber kaum USB Typ C kabel. Nachdem ich viele dieser adapter getestet habe, darunter auch die von Samsung und ich kann sagen das die hier mit Abstand eines der wertigen Adapter sind die ich jemals hatte. Das Plastik der Adapter kann man nicht reindrücken wie bei anderen Adapter. Sowohl der USB Typ C als auch der Micro USB Stecker/Buchse sind auch super verarbeitet. Daher von mir eine klare Empfehlung und 5 von 5 Sterne.

Excellent little product that fits on a key ring. If I don't have my USB C charge cable with me for my Samsung phone, I can use a more readily available micro USB cable and charge my phone. The pack comes with four and is really useful.
