I am from South Louisiana so I was able to use this gear in 40 degree weather & stayed warm. It is more comfortable than normal thermal underwear. It does have a thin layer of inner fleece that is nice on the body. I am a baseball umpire & was able to move around without issues of the garment bunching up or moving. I like them.

I wear a 34" waist, but the char size is saying a 31" waist is an x-large. Can anyone that has bought these, tell me if a x- larger will fit a 34" wai

My husband is exactly like you, 34" and I got him a Large since that is pretty much his shirt size and it fits him well. The material stretches really well too.

Yes they do, they kinda have a very soft feel from inside. Very warm, but not dry warm... was sweating while skiing at -19.
