Easy to make, is good, is spicier than expected
Super easy to make! Tasty! But spicier than I expected. Usually the standard version of Tteokbokki is the one that's really spicy, so I wasn't sure what to expect of this one. Not as spicy as standard, but still plenty of heat!

My boyfriend and I eat these all the time, any of the flavors are good, especially the onion butter. Easy side dish and super tasty.

Not what I expected
So I got this because I was curious. The flavor is amazing, not sweet in the slightest, very savory. But this does have a little spice to it. I canโt handle spicy stuff really well, but this spice level I can handle. Iโd honestly recommend this if you want to try something Korean!

Tasty but a little thick.
I don't really have any complaints about this product except for the fact there's not more. The recommended amount of water on the package yields a thick and kind of sticky sauce on the rice cakes/"noodles". I added just a little more water for a bit of a thinner sauce that still clung to the "noodles". If you've never eaten the kind of rice cakes you find in tteokbokki, they've got a bit of a chewy noodle kind of texture. Softer than a Tootsie roll, but slightly chewier than a pasta noodle. They're super tasty. The "spicy factor" on a scale of 1 to 10 for me is probably about a 4. It's not terribly spicy but it does have a bit of a kick. That being said, I like spicy food and have a pretty high tolerance for spicy things. The seasoning/sauce is pretty mild. It'll clear your sinuses but it won't set your mouth on fire, if that makes sense.

This is So Yummy!
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I thought this tteokbokki so good. I'm sure it's not as good as homemade, but for being pre-packaged, I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. It is easy to prepare and has instructions in English. The taste is savory and a little spicy. My only negative is that it's kind of pricey,but you do get a portion that I think is big enough for two.

Restaurant quality
The rice cakes are perfect, the black bean sauce is amazing and thick i added some egg which is what all the white bits are. And 1 package can feed 2 or 3 people! Im very impressed by this
