Definitely worth the money.
I rolled all of my yarn into balls myself for years. I finally decided to get a ball spinner, and I'm so happy I did. What was taking me upwards of an hour to do, is now done in minutes. So now I have more knitting and crocheting time.

Perfect cake every time!
The media could not be loaded. This little guy gets the job done, quickly and easily! Paired with an yarn umbrella/swift, it makes caking yarn (excuse me...) a piece of cake. Seriously though, it works great for normal sized hanks of yarn. I love that there's an esay way to grab the yarn for a center pull. I've only needed it a dozen times or so, so I can't speak to longevity, although it does seem pretty sturdy. 100% would recommend. (PS, the yarn shown is a hank of #1, sock weight)

You know you want to buy it. You gotta.
I wish I bought this ages ago. Yes it makes yarn cakes and you do have to pull on the yarn a bit to create more tension, but I rather that than struggle to make yarn balls for 20 mins and need to take breaks in between so my hands don't give up on me. This cuts down the time to 5 mins and my hand doesn't cramp up.

A little noisy but an excellent machine
This is an excellent machine and it makes yarn easier to use. The downside is that it's fairly noisy.

Good product
Easy to use, a must if you are a rug tufter. This makes re winding a bundle of yarn take less then 2 minutes as long as it’s not super tangled and knotted.

Easy to Use
I was so excited to receive this yarn ball winder. I spent a couple hours organizing my yarn odds and ends into little yarn cakes. My yarn drawer has never been more organized. This yarn winder was easy to set up following the directions. Just be sure it's clamped firmly to your table, and re-tighten the screw from time to time. It did come off once for me, but my yarn got snagged and the whole thing pulled sideways. It works with any amount of yarn, although the larger amounts stay together better. I did NOT try a full skein, just my partial skeins and ball that I had made by hand. The instructions do not say how much can be wound at one time, so you'd have to experiment with that. Overall, I'm very happy with this product!

So noisy
It is a great lil winder but it squeaks so much it is annoying . Nothing works to make it stop but otherwise great.

Feels cheap, works like a champ
So I was a little worried about the durability of this thing at first but Holy hell was it a great purchase. It made dozens of adorable little cakes out of my unruly yarn stash in no time flat. It's a great purchase.
