does this motor seal ring fit the Fluval 406 filter lid.

I do not believe so. The description of the product is accurate and it does not include the 400s series. I bought it to replace the ring on a 205 model and it worked great. Pretty sure I saw the one for 406 on amazon somewhere.

Does this replace the seal that is where to top and bottom connect? I have a slow leak and filter is old.

I have a 205 and this is what I replaced to stop my unit from leaking.
