What can I say its Faber-Castell quality (excellent) and a huge box of colors! It was the perfect gift for my artist son.

Excellent and worth the money!
I am thrilled with these. As a professional artist, it is important to me that the colour of the pen ink matches the indicator on the tip, and these are very, very close to the colour. The ink is smooth and really stands out against the paper, making the artwork look much more professional and brilliant when held in contrast to other markers. The tips are well made and durable and the pens seem to have a lot of ink. They work well on a variety of different paper and don't bleed much, so it makes it easy to direct the ink. They blend well and have a minimal scent, so they don't make you dizzy if you are leaning close to them. I am so glad that I bought these, as they have become one of my favourite supplies. I would definitely recommend these to other artists. There is a wide array of colours here, and many shades that you can't find in a standard marker set. I am particularly impressed with the yellows in this set.

Love them! Nicer than tombow
The ink is very intense but it doesnt goes to the other the back of the page. I have been using the Tombow for a year now and they are great. Still wanted to try somthing more fancy as I been journaling more and more. In the picture you can see the set of 24 of Faber Castell and below the ones I own from Tombow. The ink from the faber castell is just fuller and more intense. Also, I try appling white gel pen on top and it worked better with the FC since the tombow somehow bleed through the gel pen. On the other hand i like the more diverse colors you can get with Tombow so I still like them a lot, and maybe will buy again the colors I like best once I run out of them.

Best of the best (colors included in review)
After dipping my toe in the water by trying my daughter’s 48 piece set, I had to buy this set of 60 for myself, as an early, errr, Halloween present, yeah. Just finished the swatches and here are the colors: Ivory (103), Light Yellow Glaze (104), Cadmium Yellow (107), Dark Cadmium yellow (108), Pale Pink (114), Apricot (116), Beige Red (132), Dark Chrome Yellow (109), Orange Glaze (113), Scarlet Red (118), Pale Geranium Lake (121), Coral (131), Deep Red (223), Deep Scarlet Red (219), Pink Carmine (127), Pink Madder Lake (129), Middle Purple Pink (125), Magenta (133), Lilac (239), Crimson (134), Purple Violet (136), Light Indigo (220), Sky Blue (146), Phthalo Blue (110), Ultramarine (120), Dark Indigo (157), Indanthrene Blue (247), Cobalt Blue (143), Ice Blue (148), Light Cobalt Turquoise (154), Cobalt Turquoise (153), Cobalt Green (156), Phthalo Green (161), Light Phthalo Green (161), Permanent Olive Green (167), Dark Phthalo Green (264), Leaf Green (112), Light Green (171), May Green (170), Earth Green (172), Chromium Green Opaque (174), Green Gold (268), Raw Umber (180), Terra-cotta (186), Sanguine (188), Cinnamon (189), India Red (192), Caput Mortuum (169), Dark Sepia (175), Nougat (178), Walnut Brown (177), Warm Grey (270), Warm Grey III (272), Warm Grey IV (273), Warm Grey V (274), Cold Grey I (230), Cold Grey III (232), Cold Grey IV (233), Cold Grey VI (235), Black (199). My daughter got these mostly for fancy lettering, but I bought them for sketching and coloring mixed media art. They are so smooth and flowy, the art practically creates itself (ok, I exaggerate slightly). Great pens and I’m happy to hear they’re pretty long lasting! Lightfast and permanent India ink with beautiful brush strokes. Would have liked more skin tones though. *

Love these artist pens!
Pitt "Artist Pens" really are that - an artist pen. These are not kid's magic markers. The colors are beautiful and this 24 count box is a fairly comprehensive set, but there are also sets containing only grays (and they are gorgeous - from warm beigy grays to cool misty ones), and sets specifically for landscape and portrait, with more specific colors. The tip tapers to an elegantly fine point, and when used more heavily they approximate a #3 brush. One of their best features is that they do not dry out! If you keep the covers on they will last for years - I have had some for over 10. There is also a jumbo size marker in this line which is great for Sumi-e work. You cannot go wrong with any of the Pitt pens or sets - they are worth every penny and make terrific gifts for yourself or someone else. No, I am not paid by the company for this glowing review - I'm just an old artist who loves really fine materials and it's a pleasure to use these!

Bought on Sale
Normally I wouldn't be able to afford this 48 set but it was on half-price because the new models just came in. (Lucky me!) I love the set. The colors aren't as bright as I hoped and expected, but they go on smooth and don't darken significantly with repeated passes. One pen did come with the tip broken. It looks as the tip were shoved into the pen possibly to fast or at an angle. (Picture 3) But it's #270, warm gray, and I don't expect I'll miss it all that much. I can buy the one replacement if necessary. The box they come in is very handy as these markers have to be stored horizontally. (Picture 1) It's very easy to see the cap colors like this and my swatch card is in order of the pens per shelf within the box. NOTE: If you're going to make a swatch card, the pens are not put into the box in numeric order. Overall, I'm quite happy with this purchase.

Pitt Artist pens - nirvana for the colorist!
I have read about nearly every artist set of pens, watercolor brush sets, colored pencils of all types and purchased many brands. With the arrival of these India ink brush tipped pens today, I am finally satisfied that I have found the pinnacle of coloring sets! The brush fiber tip is perfect for me as it is short, comes to a pin point, and with a light hand I am able to color in the smallest of places in adult coloring books. The tip is firm, which I prefer, yet with some flexibility. Ink flow is perfect - not too much but still covers the page nicely. The body of the pen is good for my hand, like a fat coloring pencil, although shorter, so my hand doesn't cramp when coloring (for hours!). Each pen holds a lot of ink! I can't imagine running out anytime within the next several years. I am also thrilled that this box has 9 different shades of green - the one color I need the most variety with the Johanna Basford series of coloring books. I have read that the pens do not bleed through decent paper. They have not with the postcard stock on which I am using them. The storage box is well made with the ability to tier up each level of the pen holders. Yes, these pens are pricey but with all I have spent trying to find something that is perfect for me I could easily have purchased this pen set at least twice more. I think the secret when looking on Amazon is to input "Artist set" into the search box. I am through with searching any more as I have reached nirvana with this purchase.

Works just as expected
Great pens. They work beautifully with the Staedtler pens. A little pricey, but worth it.
