Easy to install
This was so easy to install. I was able to install it in under 10 minutes. So far, no issues! Sometimes it sticks a little bit, but it’s likely due to the humidity and heat of the summer.

If you have a round striker hole , no adapter. Call kwikset, + you may get drive in striker free. I needed thick door kit for a 3" thick door. I ordered 1 - got wrong stuff. Called kwikset, + there sending 1 free. , said it's warrenty. Save your money if you need drive in striker ( $26 ) on line , or thick door kit. ( ? $12 ) . Was free .

Ok but cheap and no instructions
Just ok, it works but definitely cheaply made. I replaced an older qwikset lock and it was easy to see how much cheaper and less quality this lock was. Also there were NO INSTRUCTIONS.

Best price thru Amazon
Priced this lock at Lowe's, Home Depot and a local hardware store. They were all twice the price or more for this Kwikset lock. Next day delivery, can't beat that. Well made and easy to install....even for the hubby who never reads the instructions. LOL

Easy Installation, looks great.
This lock was very easy to install. Did spend a few extra minutes when I put the latch in upside down, (it is clearly marked). Once in it works great. You can install without an installation kit but it is worth the extra few bucks, makes the drilling a snap and will be on hand for the next job!

The lock came fast and complete. This would get you 5 stars. However the photo they use to sell is a “Smart Key” where you can re-key yourself. As you can see in the photo there is no slot for the Smart Key tool. This gets you 2 Stars. BUYER BEWARE!

As others have mentioned, the picture shows a smartkey lock, but the locks shipped do not have the smartkey feature.
