What relief!
Painful hands wake me up at night. A lifetime of thinking I can power through gardening and chores have taken a toll. When I saw the ad for YogaHands - Hand Exerciser and Stretcher I was skeptical. However, I marked the page and a day later when just catching up on email was painful, I decided to give YogaHands a go.As soon as they arrived, I opened the package and slid them on each hand. They are simple to use and easily portable. The first time I used the devices I left them on 10 minutes. I now leave them on for 15. There is a significant decrease of pain. My hands feel so much better. I am amazed and impressed that something so simple can do so much. Next purchase: YogaToes.

Sized for big hands
I have modest sized hands and I think these are really made for a man--they do not sit into my fingers like the picture shows. After wearing them my hands feel nicely stretched but I have to constantly push them back in. You cannot do anything while wearing them (maybe turn a page in a book). I don't get the "exerciser" part of the name--they stretch your fingers apart, that's about it. Seem expensive for what they are but mostly the size seems wrong for me. One size fits all not viable--my hands could never expand to look like the picture in the promo.

Effective Relief
I've been experiencing pain in my hands for some time now and really felt the need to stretch my fingers apart. This was the only product I could find that performed this function. I'm 5'1", 110 lbs, female so my hands are not huge. But I wouldn't call them petite either. I do have longer fingers in proportion to my palm. I mention this as a frame of reference because I see a lot of other reviewers saying these are too big for women's hands. I disagree. In the picture, the stretcher sits all the way down at the base of the fingers. If you find it painful for your fingers to stretch that far, simply keep the stretcher higher up between your fingers. If you have smaller hands or your fingers can't stretch as far, the foam will naturally ride up your fingers anyway. This is what I experience and I often have to jam it down my fingers really good to keep them down there. The only pain I experience is between my ring finger and pinky finger if I wear it for longer than about 15-20 minutes. On the other hand, I find it doesn't stretch between my other fingers enough. So sometimes I actually place 2 of the foam pads between 2 fingers for an extra stretch. So I find the tool pretty versatile and accommodating for different needs.Of course this doesn't stretch your thumb. I've found a way to lay down with my hands (wearing the stretchers) splayed out on my belly and my 2 thumbs sort of hooked with each other so that they pull away and provide a nice gentle stretch for the thumbs as I'm just relaxing. The stretch is lost as I sleep, but at least I get several minutes of stretch before that happens. It's not perfect and it is somewhat pricey for what it is. But research & development, not to mention patents, are costly, so I understand the price point. And really, it's a small price to pay for the kind of relief it brings me.Do note that your hands are pretty useless while wearing these. Your fingers are basically locked into place and there aren't a lot of things you can do without your fingers (unless you've had lots of training).

Uh...I don't think so.
Unlike the yoga toes, which really works nicely for your feet, this is totally useless. I'm not even sure why it doesn't work like it's supposed to as it does actually stretch my fingers apart...but it's just not effective in stretching the actual muscles in my hands. It's made of plastic with adjustable foam triangles in between your fingers. Except the foam moves and eventually your hands are just spread out but not stretched. And then without the thumb included in the stretching, which you can see it doesn't in the photo, it turns out it's just all around useless.I'll be returning these.

It's a Nice Tool, But WAAAY Too Overpriced for What It Is
Short and sweet: Does it do its job effectively and help stretch out the hand and fingers? Absolutely.Do you need to constantly adjust the foam finger interlockings? Absolutely.Should two pieces of plastic and six tiny pieces of foam cost $35+? Absolutely NOT.Does it deserve a 2-MAYBE 3 star rating due to it being incredibly overpriced? Abso-freaking-LutelyI actually had cubital tunnel syndrome (basically carpel, but in your elbows), and this product helped a little bit. But, I mean, it just helped a bit when it was on, and did very little long term. I know people with chronic issues are desperate, but save your money until it comes down to $10-15 for a pair or use it on a co-pay for an arm (shoulder, elbow & hand) orthopedic surgeon. I'm spoiled by the talent of doctors in Philly that helped me, so if you literally have no other option, I guess pay the money. But, it really, really looks like they're taking advantage of the sick and desperate. Shameful if that's the case.

They work
I don't have carpal tunnel or anything, but I do get aches in my hands from drawing for a long time or typing. I put these on for maybe five minutes when I take my breaks and my hands feel a LOT better afterward. They are comfortable to wear, yes they will feel a little awkward since they are splaying your fingers out but I like the stretching feeling. They are easy to use, too. Just slip them on and relax. I get pain in the center of my palm and up my pinky on both hands, and this definitely relieves that pain after use. Recommended for anyone that uses their hands for small and repetitive tasks.
