Overall, this is a great idea, and a very sturdy product. I love how the wee wee pad is underneath the grate so the puppy can not chew it up. I found that if I buy the large size pads I can cut them into quarters to fit the litter, and it saves me money. My little one is using it about half the times she needs to go potty. Hopefully she will get better as she gets older. The only drawback, is that I wish there was something to secure the grate better because my puppy loves to jump up and down on it when she gets excited and it tends to fall off. I would definitely recommend this product, especially for new puppies.

… does not lock in place and will tip over. Since my dog is a leg lifter, this defeats the purpose or target practice. Also, my dog did not like the holes of the tray and would not walk on it.

I would definitely NOT attempt to use this for a dog bigger than about 10 lbs, max. The product took a long time with shipping but it got here eventually. It is what it says it is. It does indeed prevent the floor from getting soaked with pee from the pad. My dog isn't crazy about the part he's supposed to step on, so I've been using it without the grate, so really it's only protecting my floor now and we're not making use of all the features of it because of my dog's preference with what he steps on... but he is young, maybe he'll learn, I don't know yet. Consistency, I guess! As with any dog product, it's only going to be as good as the training the dog gets with it. We are halfway there.

We order this unit for our tiny Chihuahua, ended up getting a larger tray as this unit was to small for any small dog to move around in. Infact, so small that the dog was affraid of it. But took right to a larger puppy poddy we ordered from a different manufacture right away. By the time we relized that the dog absolutely wouldn't use it because of the size, it was to late to return. This would be great for guinea pigs, Squirrels or rabbits, but just to small for even the smallest dog.

The main issue I have is the typical size puppy pad is too big. But this works very well for my 2 legged cat that can't use normal litter anymore! Plus, no yucky kitty litter spread everywhere in the house anymore!

Big enough for a mini red rabbit/ would be good for a small dog breed.Super easy to clean.Comes with grater so he isn't stepping in his poop/pee.
