Better than many cheap knockoffs
I recently purchased this tripod for recording videos, and I have been extremely impressed with its performance. Neewer is a brand I had heard about before and trust. The design of the tripod is both sturdy and lightweight, making it easy to move around and set up. 77 inches is as much as you will need for basically any situation, since you want it to be at least as tall as the person you are filming. One of the standout features of this tripod is the fluid head with adjustable resistance. This allows me to make smooth, precise movements while filming, and the adjustable resistance allows me to customize the amount of resistance to my liking. Another great feature of this tripod is the ability to hang a counterweight from the center column. This provides additional stability and ensures that the tripod doesn't tip over, even when using heavy cameras on an incline. In addition to its impressive features, the tripod also comes with an excellent carrying case. One of the things that surprised me the most about this tripod is its ability to easily convert into a monopod. This is a great feature to have, as it allows me to switch between using the tripod and monopod quickly and easily. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of this tripod. It has way more features than I expected for the price, and it has proven to be a valuable tool for recording videos. I highly recommend this tripod to anyone in need of a sturdy, reliable, and versatile tripod for their filming needs.

Incredible stability and versatile features—fantastic tripod for travel or studio
I recently purchased the NEEWER 77-Inch Camera Tripod Monopod, and I’m seriously impressed with how solid and stable it is. The support and stability are incredible—even when fully extended, it holds my DSLR securely without wobbling, which gives me so much confidence when shooting long exposures or panoramas. The 360° panoramic ball head is super smooth and makes it easy to capture precise shots from any angle. I also love the 2-axis center column, which allows me to adjust the camera for overhead shots or low-angle photography—so versatile for different styles of shooting. Despite being sturdy, it’s lightweight and easy to carry thanks to the included travel bag. It folds down compact enough to fit into my backpack, which makes it perfect for travel photography. The Arca-type quick-release plate is reliable and saves time when switching between handheld and tripod shots. The build quality feels premium, and the legs lock firmly into place. For the price, it’s an amazing tripod that offers features you’d normally see in higher-end models. Pros: ✅ Incredible support and stability, even fully extended ✅ Smooth 360° panoramic ball head for versatile angles ✅ 2-axis center column great for overhead and low shots ✅ Lightweight yet sturdy—ideal for travel ✅ Arca-type quick-release plate for easy camera changes ✅ Holds up to 34 lbs, perfect for heavy gear Cons: ❌ Slightly bulky when folded compared to mini tripods ❌ Ball head adjustment knobs take a bit of getting used to

Great tripod at a reasonable price!
This tripod was a HUGE upgrade from my old one, and seems like a way more expensive tripod than it was. It is extremely versatile and worked in a wide range of locations. The length is great and gave me all the angles I needed. It's incredibly sturdy while still being portable. I added a high-end metal phone mount to replace the plastic one it came with, and that setup is perfect. Recommended!

Rock-Solid, Feature-Packed Tripod That Punches Above Its Price
I’m genuinely impressed with this NEEWER 77" travel tripod/monopod. It hits the sweet spot of height, portability, and pro features—perfect for my DSLR, mirrorless, and even phone shooting. Setup is fast and intuitive. The 360° panoramic ball head glides smoothly for precise framing and buttery panoramas, and the Arca-type quick release plate locks in securely with my existing L-plates. The two-axis center column is the secret weapon: I can boom it out for overheads, product shots, and macro work without juggling extra arms. Converting to a monopod is as simple as unscrewing a leg—great for events, hiking, or tight spaces. Despite being lightweight aluminum, stability is excellent. The 34 lb load rating is confidence-inspiring; it handled my full-frame body with a hefty zoom without a hint of sag. Twist locks are positive and quick, feet grip well indoors and out, and the adjustable leg angles make low-angle and uneven-ground setups easy. At full 77 inches, I can shoot over crowds or get clean top-down shots—huge win for flexibility. The included padded bag and phone holder make this a grab-and-go kit for travel, studio, and content creation. For anyone who needs one tripod to do it all—landscapes, portraits, product, timelapse, video b-roll—this NEEWER delivers professional results with zero fuss. Highly recommended.

Solid Tripod with Great Stability – Just Missing One Thing
Overall, I'm really impressed with it. It provides excellent stability, is super easy to set up, and is lightweight, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor shoots. The build quality is solid, and it feels durable enough to handle my camera and lenses with confidence. Stability: The tripod holds my camera steadily, even with larger lenses (Canon R + RF 24-70mm lens), which is essential for sharp, clear shots. The legs have a good lock mechanism that ensures the tripod doesn't shift or wobble during use. Ease of Use: The tripod is user-friendly, with simple adjustments for height and angle. The quick-release plate is also a nice touch—super convenient for switching between different devices. The Missing Piece: The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it doesn’t have a long handle for turning the pan/tilt head. I typically work with heavier gear, and having a longer handle would make it a lot easier to adjust the camera smoothly, especially for panning shots. It’s still functional, but that extra length would make the experience even better. Value: Despite the lack of a long handle, this tripod is still an excellent value for the price. It’s versatile, sturdy, and does the job well—especially if you're just starting out or don't need extreme adjustments during shoots. It's well worth it for the price. Overall: Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a solid, portable tripod that does the job. Just be mindful that you might need to do some extra manual adjustments without the longer handle.

Neewer 77” tripod yes or no? I say, yes!
My 5 star rating is for the tripod, which is what I purchased, not the tripod head. I feel I got a value for what I paid. It’s well made for a tripod under $60. It’s easy enough to deploy, lightweight enough to make it easy to move around, versatile enough to be a sturdy and useful piece of kit. It comes with an arca Swiss plate, a ball head, a simple bag for carrying and protection and Allen key, and a phone mount, which feels pretty flimsy and cheap. The ball head is not too well made from what I could tell. It’s a decent material and It seems sturdy, but it’s got too way much friction on the ball making it a bit difficult to fine adjust. Also the “0” mark to pan is about 10 degrees off of the notch for the ball head to turn for portraits, which while it may not be important, I have to believe there’s a reason why my other ball heads are marked with the “0” aligned perfectly with the notch. Since I have a few other heads and really bought this item for just the tripod this was a non issue for me. Having said that, I would pay LESS for the tripod alone without a head, otherwise, I would still recommend this tripod as it is STILL a good value and it is sturdy and well made for a tripod in this price range.

Quality and lightweight
The NEEWER 77 inch Camera Tripod Monopod is an excellent choice for photographers and videographers. The tripod is lightweight yet sturdy, providing great stability for both DSLR cameras and smartphones. The 360° panoramic ball head allows for smooth, precise adjustments, making it easy to capture wide-angle shots or record steady videos. The 77-inch height is perfect for getting those high-angle shots, and the monopod feature adds extra flexibility when you need to move quickly. Overall, this tripod is versatile, durable, and delivers great value for the price!

Stands up to more expensive tripods
This tripod isn't the highest end, smallest, or lightest tripod on the market, but it IS durable, reliable and stable. The monopod function is great for quick stable shots, and the actual ball head can be mounted to the main tripod or the monopod, which gives you the flexibility to be able to really adjust for any situation. This also has the benefit of being able to attach a fluid head for video, and this tripod is absolutely strong enough to support both a good fluid head and a reasonable size camera with a cine lens. It's pretty compact when stored in the included bag, and while the design is reliable, it would have been nice to see twist lock mechanisms on the legs rather than latches. You can't really go wrong for the cost of this tripod.

Top Preis/Leistung
Insgesamt jedoch hochzufrieden

A tripod I've relied on for over 3 months of professional use
I've been using this NEEWER tripod for almost 3 months now with both a Sony FX3 and Sony A7 series camera and it has consistently performed well in a variety of shooting situations. What I appreciate most is the balance between stability and portability. It feels sturdy enough to support professional camera setups while still being lightweight and compact enough to carry to shoots. I've used it for outdoor photography, video work, events and travel and it has held up very well. The ball head is smooth and easy to adjust, making it quick to reframe shots. The tripod extends quite high when needed and the leg locks feel secure even after repeated use. The monopod conversion feature is also genuinely useful when you need mobility without carrying a separate monopod. Another feature I've found helpful is the ability to invert the center column for low angle and close up shots. The included carry bag is a nice bonus and makes transportation convenient. No tripod is perfect and like most travel friendly tripods, it benefits from adding some weight to the center hook when fully extended in windy conditions. However that's a minor consideration rather than a flaw. After a few months of regular use, I can confidently say this has been one of my better photography gear purchases. Whether you're a professional content creator, videographer, photographer or simply someone who enjoys photography as a hobby, this tripod offers excellent value and reliability.
