InFocus IN118HDXC data projector

This is a bare bones projector that produces nice images. It can throw a 12' wide image on a living room wall from a distance of 20'. And, It's probably the best bang for the buck a budget home theater DIY could ask for. For the price it has a good set of features. It has two inputs HDMI & VGA. It will display images from a DVD RGB output if you have a VGA to RGB adapter. (No standard video inputs). It automatically scales according to input. Some streaming videos from internet source may display at a reduced size SVGA on the screen. Full HDMI output is impressive. Don't believe the hype about a vanishing screen window. It still produces a screen pattern. Focus ring is sensitive and, low quality. Wait until after projector warms up to perform focus efforts. Focus in on an image of fine text and you're good to go. Instruction manual is on a CD. So, you'll need a computer with a disc drive to read operating instructions. I activated the reduced bulb output feature because 3000 lumens is unnecessary in my home theater. Projector runs quieter at reduced output & should extend bulb life.

Great projector for the price. Sharp, bright, nice colors. Very quiet, in fact I think it's the quietest projector I've owned (I've owned about 5). I'm only knocking off a star because of occasional rainbows, mostly in black and white movies (like 10% of the time at most). Overall, the image quality is pretty flawless, and you probably won't find anything better in this price range.

All I can say is WOW. Didnt expect this at all. Projector is light and quiet and the picture is first rate. I'll have this hung and ready by the new year (screen and receiver not here yet). Tested it with my Panasonic Bluray 3D player and shuttered glasses. OMG the picture is as good at any 3D theater. I've been using an InFocus XVGA (800 x 600) for a couple of years, so I know the quality of InFocus. The best part is the price. I love this projector.UPDATE: Got everything up and running. My New Years Eve party was a huge success. Everyone was flabbergasted over the huge, perfectly clear picture. A total success.

Giving this a 4-star because it was overall a good projector, but the one I received was defective.The picture quality was much better than the projector I currently have (and was trying to replace). There are built-in speakers and a decent remote. The issue I had was that it wouldn't send output to the audio-out port. Plugging in a pair of headphones did nothing; the sound kept coming from the internal speakers. I tried turning off the internal speakers hoping that it would make a difference, but the audio-out port still didn't produce sound.

This unit has a very and I mean very short throw. Its perfect as a travel or mobile projector. I would not recommend it for hanging. It can fill an 8 foot screen from about 7 feet away. So if you need a short throw projector this is your unit. It has nice color is reasonably priced and is 1080P

Awesome product. The hardest part was securing the unit to the celiing. User friendly, great picture - very satisfied with this product.

Por menos de 400e pagados, muy buena relacion calidad precio, aunque puede dar problemas de conexion (handshake) hdmi y el efecto "arcoiris" ser evidente en ciertas escenas. Por lo demas, muy contento.

Este proyector es imbatible en su precio, está a la altura de otros proyectores por de 3 veces del precio actual. Infocus es de las 3 mejores marcas en proyección doméstica que siempre ha habido, es el segundo proyector que tengo de la misma marca.
