Finish Line Dry Teflon Bicycle Chain Lube - An Honest Review
I've been using Finish Line Dry Teflon lube for as long as I can remember on all my bikes. It's become something of a staple in my garage, and for good reason. What I appreciate most about this lube is how it doesn't attract dirt and grime on my mountain bike trails. The formula goes on wet but dries to a wax-like film that keeps the chain running smoothly without becoming a magnet for trail dust. I've tried several other lubes over the years, but they typically resulted in that dreaded "black paste" forming on my drivetrain after just a few rides. With Finish Line Dry, I can get about 100 miles of riding before needing to reapply, which is pretty decent for a dry lube. In the summer months when trails are dusty, this stuff really shines - my chain stays remarkably clean compared to when I've used other products. I've found this lube to be surprisingly versatile. It works great on my kid's bike (which gets minimal maintenance but still needs to function properly). I've also used it on brake cable lines to keep them moving smoothly, and even for squeaky door hinges around the house. The small bottle is easy to store and lasts quite a while. One thing to note - the bottle opening is a bit wide, so it's easy to apply too much if you're not careful. I've learned to be gentle with the squeeze to avoid waste. I typically clean my chain first, apply the lube to each link while rotating the pedals backward, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe off the excess. This routine has served me well. Is it perfect? No. If you ride in wet conditions frequently, you'll need to reapply more often. And yes, there are fancier lubes on the market now with ceramic compounds and whatnot. But for everyday riding and maintenance, Finish Line Dry Teflon lube remains my go-to. It's affordable, effective, and doesn't complicate what should be a simple maintenance task. After all these years, I still haven't found a compelling reason to switch to anything else. For a reliable chain lube that keeps things running smoothly without creating a mess, this one's hard to beat.

Great mountain bike lube
I keep a bottle on the shelf for my mountain bike, and use every time I clean the bike. It works great and stays dry and attached.

Best dry lubricant I have found "Pro DIYer approved"
Have been using Finish Line dry lube for years. Have never found a dry lubricant that works on so many applications. Bike chains (I now use their Ceramic wax) other Bike components, Door locks, hinges, squeaky swivel chair mechanisms you name it. prevents squeaks and leaves a dry light coating. I recently cleaned and lubed some sticky kitchen drawer slides and they are super slick now. I now use the squeeze bottle instead of the spray bottle but if you need to get into tight places then consider the spray bottle.

Low Cost, Easy to Use, and Pretty Effective
This is a suspended was type lubricant that is easy and quick to apply. It is relatively low cost. It is not a high performance lubricant but I only use my bike for fitness (not racing) on paved roads and trails and this is good enough and better than most. It doesn't collect dirt very quickly like wet lubricants and it cleans off and reapplies without much hassle.

Made my bike lock functional again
This made by bike lock functional again. It kept getting jammed, but a few drops into the keyhole made it feel like factory. Seems to last a while.

Smooth Ride, Less Dirt – Finish Line Dry Lube is a Must-Have!
The Finish Line Dry Bike Lubricant has been a total game-changer for my bike maintenance routine. It goes on clean and doesn’t attract the dirt and grime that other lubes tend to pick up, so my chain stays in great shape between rides. I love that it dries quickly and leaves a smooth, non-greasy finish, which helps keep everything running quietly and efficiently. This lube really holds up in dry conditions and even does well when I encounter a bit of dust or light rain. Application is easy, and I’ve noticed a real difference in the smoothness of my rides. If you’re looking for a lube that keeps your bike chain clean and running like a dream, this one is fantastic. Highly recommend for any cyclist looking for low-maintenance, high-performance chain care!
