Will this allow me to use a canon ma 300 mic adapter and bring in audio?

This is simply a plastic adapter ( with no electrical interconnections). It only allows you to mount devices with a standard hotshoe to a Canon Video Cam proprietary (smaller size) hotshoe bracket. It is very light and I am not certain it will be able support a ma300 mic adapter (rigged with microphone and cable...). I is not expensive, you can give it a try if your application is simple enough.

no knob, but it click securely in. I use it to hold a small microphone on my camcorder, no issues with it.

is this adaptor good to attach the ZOOM H4N audio recorder to the Canon VIXIA HF G20 camcorder? I worry about noise if the connection wobbles?

I guess my first question is, why do you want to attach an audio recorder to your camcorder?  I would place it next to what you want to record and then use editing software to add the extra track, although I found the very slight difference in recording speed caused me to have to realign during pauses.  I primarily used the H4 to record the string quartet or orchestra, up close to minimize crowd noise.  Used a wireless to send it to my camcorder onto the left channel and a wirelss to house sound/or shotgun to the right channel.  I have the HF G10 and G30, both have the mini and I have used the adapter on my G10 (the G30 comes with both a standard shoe and the mini) and it was OK for a shotgun I tried on it.  I also had the Zoom H4 (not the N).  I would say yes, because the plastic part fits onto the metal part of the camcorder mini and the top full size shoe is metal and it is a tight, secure fit.  On a tripod you should be fine.  With the weight of the H4 I wouldn't expect it to handle rough use, "Run and Gun" probably not a good idea.  Handheld with casual moving around, should be OK.
