Can you use this high of a concentration with sunscreen?

how long does a 1 oz. bottle last??

Carol,This product is very strong so I use as little as possible and it still works great! As far as how long it will last, depends whether you're backpacking and out in the elements all day or if you have a camper and only use it when you go out.

Do you apply this to the skin or will it work if you spray the edges of your clothes?

I spray my hat, shirt and legs. Seems to work really well with no skin reaction. Try a small area on your leg to be sure that you are not allergic to DEET. Bob P.

Can the top screw off so it can be refilled?

For the 1oz bottle I just received, the top is clamped on, not screwed on - you can probably take it off by force but I doubt you can put it back on.

99% DEET - the only thing that really works

Which is the lesser of two evils; mosquito bites and possible malaria, or the poison of DEET? I choose the later. This 99% DEET does the trick. It's a nice small bottle to fit in your carry-on toiletries and the pump spray keeps it off of your hands. Have you ever gotten bug spray on your hands and accidentally stuck your finger in your eye!? Is size bottle will last me a couple of months if I'm in a high mosquito area. Works on sand fleas too. If you are already familiar with deet, you know that it will melt your gear. So be careful not just spray it on your plastic flip-flops, phone case, synthetic fabrics, etc. Yeah, this stuff is gnarly but like I said, it works.

Weird but great

It definitely works but ill be honest, it felt really strange on my skin because it was room temperature if not warm. That being said, I love the size & the lack of stickiness. The spray nozzle allows a mess free application & it gets straight to the point
