What is the button on the stem of this car air pressure tire gauge used for?

The button on the neck of this tire gauge actually serves two functions. 1) Pressure Reset Button - after you get the reading from your tire, it will "lock in" place and hold so that the reading is still visible when you disconnect the chuck of the gauge from the tire valve. Use this button to reset the reading back to zero. 2) Air Bleeder Valve - if you notice that the reading is higher than what the proper PSI of your tire should be at, when you have the gauge sealed to the tire valve, hold this button down to slowly let out air from the tire. Re-check the pressure until it is at the desired pressure level required for your tire. Hope this helps!
