It works as intended.
It worked. I built an actual birdhouse to house my external thermometer transmitter. I needed it to be away from the house because brick absorb lots of heat and also cold. Hanging this ‘birdhouse’ in a tree in the back yard gives my thermometer isolation from any external influences. So this hasp secures the bottom panel that gives me access to the transmitter to change the battery once per year. Even though it’s a strange use, it works well as a securing piece for my ‘birdhouse’.

Easy to install latch
My son wanted a lockable latch for his treasure box. We needed something gold to match the existing hinges. This item worked great and was easy to install with a drill. Very durable. It will work with most sized keyhole locks. Good value for the money. Under 2” in size.

this was easy to install on a wooden box that I have. The screws were the right length and went into the wood easily.

Decent latch
Some of the pre drilled holes on hardware are off a bit. Installed nice and looks pritty good.

Its not brass!! Cheaply made.
I do not recommend this item. Very cheaply made for how much you pay.. not happy and certainly not brass!!
