Nifty little fan!
I appreciate the low setting it’s quiet and the air flow is subtle as other reviews mention. So for my purpose that’s great. In high setting I do find it loud. It’s the perfect size. Vornado generally makes quality fans.

Great compact size
All my fans are Vornados; good quality; lasts long. This small fan is used at my work desk. It's not as quiet as I'd like it to be; although there's nothing to complain about. I wanted to downsize personal items. I worked late & treated the place like a second home. Our office recently moved so I figured it's time to remove most of my belongings. You've seen those movies when someone quits their job & they're walking out with only 1 box of stuff. Not me! Well, now I think I have 2+ bankers boxes of stuff, not including my 3 good sized monitors, a small printer, scanner, labeling & laminating machine. I'll need help hauling the stuff out if I ever leave that job; I think about it like a light at the end of the tunnel.

The lowest setting is a joke, but nice little fan otherwise.
UPDATE: I tried the low setting with the fan positioned closer and it works better! I’m going to like it after all! While it’s a nice air circulator fan, I don’t know why they bothered to have a low setting. You basically need to have it RIGHT up to your face within an inch to feel anything. It’s very silent at that setting, though. The higher setting is more like most low settings, but it’s noisier. Obviously that’s because the fan is actually working. I love the brand Vornado. We have a Vornado larger table top Turbo fan in our bedroom that we use regularly. All three settings work correctly. We keep it on low since it’s quieter and yet still is strong enough to push air across the room. I’m going to keep this Flippi for awhile and see if I end up liking it even through the low setting is pretty useless. That’s too bad because it’s a nice little otherwise. Compact, sturdy and light enough to move around as needed. I like the tilting fan and swivel base which makes it convenient. It’s nice next to me when I sit on my recliner.

Great little guy
Still have it to this day. It’s been about couple years since I purchased. It’s perfect for when the heat is on too high in your office and you need something directly in your face and your neck because you’re sweating your buns off.

If you need to move a small amount of air a short distance...
If I had to describe this fan in one word, it would be "underwhelming". The actual fan is only 3-1/4" diameter, so adjust your expectations of how wide of a column of air it can move accordingly. As far as speed went, on its highest speed I found the airflow to be virtually undetectable past about 4 feet. For airflow sufficient to provide actual relief and comfort on a warm night, I found that extended about 2 feet from the fan. As a bedroom fan, which was my intended use, this just didn't make the grade - even on a nightstand right next to the bed it could only provide cooling for my head and part of my upper body. (And while reasonably quiet, having this sitting only a few inches from my ears had me grabbing some earplugs to get to sleep.)While not my desired use, I also tried it in my office space - and to be honest I could see it potentially being useful for someone in that type of setting. So I'll still give it a few stars for that. It's compact enough that finding a spot for it on a desk wouldn't be at all hard, and it'd also be feasible to position it within a couple of feet to help cool your top half. It can be swiveled and tilted (including at least a bit downwards), so that might provide some additional flexibility with placement.

Sound and air movement are perfect
I run hot so I use this at my desk at work. On the low speed it's quiet and moves enough air to keep me cool. And because it runs so quietly, it doesn't disturb the other people sitting around me at work. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my home office. Definitely recommend and I will buy again.

Very disappointed!
Bought it for my desk at work for a quick hit during my personal summers. It was next to my monitor but had to move it next my mouse just to feel it. I wanted to send it back but it wasn't worth the hassle.
