Yes... Gluten is bad for seals. Especially the rear main.

Can i use this oil for my hot wheels?

I don't see the brand of max life for new engines. can i put this in a 2016 kia optima lx 1.6 turbo that is new with 1500 miles? if not,what 5w-30?

Thats because maxlife is for older engines with 75000. You don't put this in a new engine as it will swell the seals up ...no need for that in a new engine.

Made a noticeable difference

For my 99 Jag which started to show signs of deteriorating valve seals (blue smoke at start up and down a quart every other week). If this oil postpones the valve job for a good while, it will be an excellent investment of a few extra dollars for a box of oil.

20W-50 for an old car - why so expensive?

Decent oil, but the 20W-50 costs a lot more than other viscosities. I wanted to try it in my old Ford 390 to see if if might not leak as much. Not sure it made a difference, except to my wallet.
