I liked my first pitcher so much that I ended up buying more! The seal around the lid is no joke; it won't leak once it's tightened! I have one that leaks slightly, but that's an imperfection in the pressed glass itself, not the lid (I tested all my lids on that one pitcher), but it's not bad enough for me to want to return it. You do have to take the lids all the way off to pour though, so keep that in mind. These pitchers are sturdy, stable, and easy to clean. The seal comes off the lid for washing, and the wide mouth on the pitcher makes it easy to get a brush down in there (is also nice for adding fruit slices). I can't remember if they're dishwasher safe, but I don't put stuff like that in mine anyways. The square design makes it nearly impossible to knock over (you'd have to mean it), and it fits nicely in the fridge just about anywhere you want to put it. Some takeaways: Made in Italy! I get sick of buying stuff made in China, so I am always on the lookout for stuff made in the US or Europe, where standards are stricter. Lead free! If you follow Lead Safe Mama on Facebook or Insta, you will see that she has tested this pitcher for lead, and it's clear! NOT safe for boiling water! Don't make hot tea or coffee in this. It's in the product description and they have a warning in the package as well. This is pressed glass construction, so the 2 halves come together vertically in the middle. All of mine have raised seams on the handle that are a tiny bit uncomfortable, but not that bad. The handle being part of the pitcher, rather than grafted on after, make this all the more durable. Over all, I love mine. I put my son's apple juice in one, brew cold brew tea for my husband in the other, and I'm considering storing milk in the 3rd. If I have need of more pitchers, I would absolutely buy these again, and I may even purchase some as gifts in the future!

Heavy glass with a tight lid, for a great price!

I do really like this pitcher. I can brew my iced tea right in the jar. The size is quite refrigerator-friendly, both for the door shelf, and for the top interior shelf where the control panel at top takes out a couple of inches of height - this fits cleanly in both places. Before I bought it, I did read other reviewers warnings about the locking lid breaking down, so I've been careful to lock/unlock before and after use, but the lid fell apart on me after about a year of use anyway. I managed to put it together, although the rim jammed unevenly going into the outer ring, which I thought I finally fixed, and it worked for a time or two, and then fell apart again. I don't think it's going to stay together permanently. I hope to be able to contact the manufacturer about getting a replacement lid, but, frankly, I'm not too optimistic about that. I'd have given this 5 stars if the lid didn't fall apart. But I'm using on of those elastic-edged shower cap-type bowl covers, and while it won't prevent spillage, it at least keeps the contents clean.

I had been looking for a glass milk pitcher for a little while - as glass is better to sanitize for our raw milk vs the plastic I had been using. Seals well and won't spill. Holds just over a 1/2 gallon (as stated). Have to pour a bit slow/cautious due to spout size/configuration - you'll discover this with the first use. It's a stout & short little container and still fits on refrigerator door. I don't have any issues with the smaller handle, but I do have small hands. I don't recall seeing this in the directions, but the lid comes completely apart for cleaning (gasket, plus 3 plastic pieces) - which I didn't discover until using it for about a month (had always removed the gasket ring, but didn't disassemble the others). To do this, the rectangular piece on top will pry/pop off and then you unscrew the 2 threaded pieces. Nice pitcher has been perfect for my filtered raw goat milk. Stays fresh and can keep the container clean. The seal also keeps out any 'refrigerator' taste (or any other items that have a stronger smell that you store in your frig - like broccoli or hard boiled eggs). Wish I had found and purchased this sooner.

This is a great purchase. I LOVE this pitcher so much I want to buy another one already. Really sturdy and durable glass. I currently use it to hold my homemade oatmilk so excuse the photo reference but seriously considering getting another one

I have been using this to cold brew barley tea overnight for months and I love it. Picked it because of its thick glass, the thick handle and the craftsmanship. I was skeptical because of people reporting issues with the top however you just need to press it down and turn the top to create the suction. Making sure that you untwist it so it’s basically ‘set to zero’ or ‘open’ and then turn the top to create the air tight seal. It’s helpful to just see how the mechanism works outside of the jar and that will inform you on how the top gasket needs to be below the glass lip (I hope this makes sense, but it helped me to understand what others were referring to when saying the hermetic seal stops working). Easy to clean because of the wide mouth and you can get into all the corners and not have any buildup. It is not heat resistant so if you are making hot liquids make sure they have cooled before pouring them in. The little paper tells you the temperature it can withstand but it’s not made for hot liquids. UPDATE: Gasket got mold spots so I baked it at low heat as was recommended to sterilize it. If it touches the water in the jug and it’s left at room temp, it causes a rubber-chemical/off smell to the water. I don’t know why this happens but think there have to be better pitchers out there that are also thick-walled glass. I don’t recommend buying this. I just use it to drink my daily amount of water, but don’t clamp down the cover anymore. Really a shame because the glass is so thick unlike those other thin borosilicate ones all over Amazon.

I bought 2 of these and have had them for almost a decade now as I'm writing this (yeah I'm slow on the reviews...). Not going to tread any new ground that's not already been written but will reiterate some of what has been said which is this is a solid glass pitcher that can be used for a variety of liquids. Would recommend if you need a large container for the kitchen. Also because it's glass, I don't have the concern of plastics or what not leeching into whatever I have inside. However, when full can be quite hefty so would not recommend that small children try to handle on their own. I've not had any leakage problems and the only things I would mention beyond the weight are two things. One, when pouring, I do recommend taking the top completely off, don't try to leave it partially one and do be careful not to tip at too much of an angle when pouring or you could spill. Given the large opening, quite a lot can come pouring out if you are not careful. Two, cleaning might be an issue if you have large hands as you may not be able to get in there, in which case you may have to just put some detergent and water inside the pitched, put the top back on and shake it around to clean the inside. I supposed you could try to put it in the dishwasher but the pitcher is a bit on the bulky/awkward side so I would recommend just hand washing.

I was going to return it because of the spout, but then I realized it only spilled if I tried to overfill the pitcher. Which, although it holds a lot, if I fill it to the top it’s heavy and awkward for my old lady wrists. I love the fact that it is glass and I love the way the lid fits. It’s supposed to be airtight but I haven’t tried that out. I just know it seals well enough that no food odors seep into the pitcher when it’s on the fridge. I’m happy with this and will keep it. If they make other similar items with slightly different shape or spout, I’d definitely buy that too. Sorry I was critical at first. Part design but more user error on my account.

I am very pleased with this jug that I purchased to store my daily water in. It is solid and holds a lot of water but is not too tall and quite compact. It is a solid chunky jug so I’m not too afraid of chipping it. A very good buy, the nifty lid is also very handy.

Nicht ganz wie erwartet. Dachte den Deckel könnte man drehen zum eingiessen. Stattdessen muss man den abmachen um eingiessen zu können. sprich: der Deckel ist gut zum Schutz aber funktioniert nicht wie bei zb einer Kaffeekanne. Desweiteren ist der Griff einwenig dicht am Glas. Menschen mit großen Händen können den glaub ich nicht richtig packen. Letztentlich muss ich aber sagen das der Pitscher sehr robust ist und sich top eignet eine Schorle oder so zu machen und mit auf die Terrasse zu nehmen.

I strongly recommend this glass jug. It is very sturdy and I bought it after previous jugs broke easily. The lock mechanism is also very good and prevents leaking. One thing to consider is that, due to its thick glass, it can be quite heavy, especially when full. Additionally the handle, while sturdy, might be a bit small for those with thicker fingers and isn't very comfortable to hold. I have two of these and I use one for lemonade/iced tea and the other I use almost every day for water. I keep it sitting at my desk so transporting it back and forth isn't too much of an issue. It holds quite a bit so I don't often need to refill it. For lemonade/iced tea, it is the perfect size for anything from concentrate and also fits most of the recipes I use quite easily. It seems to be fairly good for temperature shock as well, although the product does not mention any specific shock rating so I would be cautious. Overall, I recommend this to anyone looking for a robust, utilitarian jug.
