How do I store this? The package says to keep it frozen but then it also says it can be eaten at room temperature or refrigerated.

Long term storage ( several weeks or more should be freezer). Refrigerator overnight , and room temp when ready to be consumed

why does it contain silver foil? Is that poisonous to eat?
