I duck hunt in northern Minnesota. Wet cold and windy is my normal. My head stayed dry and warm. My duck hunting partners have seen the light and have placed orders. Great hat. I like the bill for bright sunlight. I can't wear it if the temperature climbs as it is just to warm. I have been using it snow blowing and it is perfect.

Use this duck hunting and when going out in the boat it is cold and wet. This hat kept me warm and dry. If the temps rise, just raise the ear flaps to cool off.

I've got a large head and finding a hat that fits is no easy task. This hat is both warm and the adjustable strap in the back allows for a lot of adjustment. Little expensive but all good things are

Very well made, as is all of Sitka's gear. I haven't worn this in below 30 temp's, but low to mid 30's, it has excelled! I believe it will do well in lower temp's, it's very warm and comfortable. I wear 7 1/4 hat size, this fit a little loose (easily tightend with strap), so i dont know if it'll stretch for larger heads, but you never know. Great hat and the Gor-tex breath's good as well. perfect winter hat all around, people may laugh at this elmer fudd hat, but as long as my bald head is warm, i say let'em laugh!

A fad product line. OVER PRICED.

I was looking for a hat that would keep my head warm and dry, yet allow me to effectively use my duck calls while hunting in the pouring down rain we have often in Oregon. I was hesitant at first because I had never spent that much on a duck hunting hat, but my wife ordered it and crossed her fingers. When it arrived I tried it on and it fit perfectly. I tried blowing my duck calls, no problem. The first time wearing it hunting the rain was coming down in buckets. While other hunters had wet hair and cold ears, my head was dry and warm. I would recommend it highly.

Definitely a warm hat. The wind can now blow all it wants and I'll be toasty. All I have to do now is hope my hunting buddies can stand the cold so we can stay long enough to get our limits.***Update: After using this for a couple of seasons, I have come to the conclusion that the bill on this hat gets in the way and rides down too low on my head to use for duck hunting. I think I would have been much better off with a brimless hat or a beanie. The hat IS very warm, though.
