Q: Is it shiny card or not

The card is matt black uncoated acid free recycled card.

Q: Is this thick enough, but not too thick, to make an exploding box?

HI I HAVE JUST LOOKED UP WHAT AN EXPLODING BOX IS. THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ANY RULES IN WHAT WEIGHT CARD ONE NEEDS TO USE. I CANNOT GUARRANTEE THE CARD WILL BE STRONG ENOUGH AS IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU PUT IN AND ALSO HOW MUCH YOU DECORATE IT.............. BUT I THINK IT COULD WORK FINE.

Q: can this be used in printer?

Hi We have just tried printing in colour on the card using our commercial office printer. As much as the print we used red, blue, & yellow images printed I would say personally they were not very good reproductions, even though we passed it through teh printer slowly to allow teh inks to fuse to the card I would aslo point out that this card is 220gsm and some printers do not take card that thick.

Q: If you cut it down does it have a black core?

Hi The answer to your question is YES this card is mill dyed so it the same colour all the way through, it is also acid free and a 100% recylced
