Panasonic NN-SB646S 1200W 1.2 cft Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave Oven (Renewed)

We could not be happier with this purchase. First of all, one year ago we purchased a NEW microwave from a local store. Our entire family hated it. The clock lost at least 10+ each day. It didn't have a lot of the features this one had and a lot less power. It was very loud and made odd sounds like it was 100 years old and on it's last days. That just worried me. We paid a lot more for it than we did this one. I was angry at myself for not looking into refurbished microwaves simply because we truly do try to "save the earth" by not buying new all the time. This microwave is very powerful. I look and works like it was brand new. It truly does not have a mark on it. The defrost feature is great (with a little reading of the product manual.) It does everything better than the new one we gave away and paid twice as much for.

so far it is good, I got it an hour ago I put a frozen pork chop in it in a ceramic bowl, and did the inverter defrost for 8 oz, then I cooked it for auto cook for 8 oz, it said 15 min, so I did, the result is the ceramic bowl burned the bottom of the pork chop, at half way through the cook I added a little water. the chop was tender except for the bottom crust. I think you should not use ceramic, maybe use one of those bacon plates.but it cooked perfectly all the way through, cutting it with my ginsu knife. it looked good.it is not loud, the light works no scratches , looks brand new. very happy so far. will update if it changes.the inverter technology works good, it does not cook the outside while defrosting, it will completely defrost quickly without cooking.amazing.I recommend that you buy this,Daron

Refurbished but you could never tell - works wonderfully - quite powerful.

I ordered this item with fingers crossed - buying appliances online has never struck me as the wisest course of action. Still, the need was there and as I am essentially home-bound, I had no choice but to turn to the internet. Having allotted myself only so much money for the purchase of a new microwave, I began scouring sites until I happened upon this item and what a find it was!This item is a beautiful thing - it is EXACTLY as advertised. The microwave is truly a wonderful thing and works perfectly!!! Moreover, this is a very high wattage appliance, which has reduced cooking times and opened up a whole new world of microwaving.As a refurbished product, this item has been very well handled and is not only fully functional, but very pleasing to behold.I could not be happier with this purchase!!!

Arrived on date promised. Since purchased "refurbished" and as a "open boxed" item, did not expect this item to be perfect; only had minor scratches on top, which was fine for me. The power of this microwave is as described, watch out since it cooks very fast and can "overcook" very fast as well! There is no light in the microwave unit so it is difficult to assess food without taking out of the microwave, but that is fine with me given the savings. The one downside I can report is the glass plate turnstile set up is not user friendly; it is difficult to reposition when removing to clean and replacing. Additionally, be careful to carefully lift containers to clear the turnstile glass plate BEFORE removing from the microwave; if you happen to accidentally hit the glass turnstile plate when removing a dish from the microwave it may result in chipping the edge of the plate! It happened to me! How fragile is that!

This microwave was intended to replace a microwave that lasted for 14years. I purchased a certified refurbished model which is something I have done before with kitchen appliances and had good luck. I should have returned it the first time my husband used it while I was using the WiFi at the same time. When this microwave ran, it interfered with the WiFi and the signal dropped. After four months of use, it died in dramatic fashion. Christmas Eve I needed to reheat a dessert sauce and popped it in for a minute. After about 20 seconds every one in the dining room was choking on the fumes of something electrical burning. I went to turn off the microwave and was shocked to discover that the outside was too hot to touch. I needed to grab a pot holders to turn it off and unplug it. I wrote to the seller twice and received no response. Do not purchase.

I bought this microwave due to the price. Turns out that it is NOT 1250w, but 1200w. Says it right on the inside of the microwave. I have no idea where they came up with 1250w. Be that as it may, the microwave is very powerful! Blows away a 1000w that it replaced. One major issue I had with it....the light in the unit doesn't come on when you open the door! I have never seen this in a microwave. I complained wanting to return it over this issue alone. The company gave me a discount on it so I kept it. Keep that in mind if that is important to you.

The oven is quite a steal but it is very short in height and I have been hitting the outside while trying to get containers inside the oven. It works well and I especially like the sensor cooking and heating. My oven's light comes on when I open the door. The complete buzzer is very low and does not repeat. If you are in another room, you cannot hear it. It is a good looking oven but I gave it four stars only because of the height which is less than 12". I cooked rice and a large sweet potato, both were great! This is a superb buy in my opinion.
