Saves my hands and arms when loading the wood stove. The best gloves I have ever bought.
No more singed forearms or shrivelled low quality gloves from loading the wood stove. These made it through a particularly cold winter and it looks as though I will have them for years to come.

As advertised.
Comfortable, heavy, long glove. Intended use: handling hot rotisserie and grilling objects. Complete success. Remaining concern: How the heck to you clean it? Conclusion: You don't, you just whack and scrape off the crust. Disease transmission vector: Highly unlikely. Source: 1 chemist and 1 virologist.

Heat with wood? - buy these!
TL;DR: These actually dissipate heat when in direct contact with heat sources and they hold up great for a sub $20 pair of gloves. I bought a pair a last year and used them multiple times a day all winter (northern Vermont). I can work the coals until ready to reload the stove and not get burned. The length is nice. The quality is great. The leather doesn’t scorch badly and shrivel. These were unavailable when it came time to replace. (The stitching failed on one of them between the thumb and index finger). I’ve tried six other pair that claimed to be similarly rated. No we’re close to these. I don’t typically take the time to write reviews. However, I want these gloves to remain available so here I am. Try these if you need hot contact gloves. When I saw them available again today I bought three pairs. Cheers

Some of the best cheap gloves you can find!
The comfort is what you’d expect, but “warmth” obviously is not what you want. Welding with these has been nice. No holes burned through yet even with picking up hot metals. The thickness is nice so I can still have enough flexibility to adjust my torch and welding settings but have enough protection that my hands are yet to burn, with them on that is. I’ve been working with them for about 5 months and they still are going strong. Update: 2 years later and I’ve realized it finally time to retire them. Tons of holes and I’ve burned through in multiple spots. I’ve also gotten a second pair of gloves for welding that offers more dexterity. However I see myself ordering another pair of these gloves for when I’m doing hotter and more dangerous metalworking.

Love to use for campfires.
I use these to adjust or add wood in the campfire and the long arms really protect your arms from the heat!

Good gloves, nice fit and work!
They fit well, I did not feel any heat when I reached up to remove a blade from a 1800f kiln and they work. I'd say for heat resistant gloves, that's all the marks.

Not great heat resistance
Nice gloves, but not super insulated. I bought these to use as oven mitts, particularly with cast iron pans. These are heat resistant, as long as you don't push pressure on the hot things for very long. I can feel a large amount of heat on these when pulling aluminum pans out of a 350F oven. Simple pot holders are better insulating. They do protect your arms, but I wouldn't buy these again. They fit fine. They are thick enough to give nice durability.. After a year, they are still like new, although dirty. However, for my purpose, they aren't very insulating.
