No it doesn't...it can only be used while plugged into the outlet.

Q: Does this gun plug easy? does the mist comes out even on low? these are the problems i am having with my current machine. thank you in advance.

It does plug easy if you dont clean it. Clean it with every use. Makeup tends to stick in the bottom on the bowl. Unscrew the end, take out the needle and clean. It pretty much all comes apart. The mist isnt supposed to come out unless you press the release button
