Lingham'shot sauce - 12.5 oz x 2 bottles

Discovered this sauce as a closeout, and was never able to obtain locally. Enter Amazon. I LOVE this stuff. It is similar to the Thai sweet chili sauce...the clear red one with the pepper seeds. You know, the one that isn’t hot at all and demands the addition of Sriracha or other true hot sauce. The Lingham’s has some heat. Heat being personally relative, i’d call it mild to moderate, with no afterburner.. Perfect for dipping egg rolls, Thai rolls, or other fried appetizers. Not bad on baked chicken or as an addition to stuffing, on tofu, etc. The packaging was as secure as Fort Knox. Arrived promptly. Unfortunately, another Lingham’s I wished to try arrived under separate cover, leaky. The best part of this is the convenience: won’t have to make any similar condiment this year, or maybe ever. This is one thing I will always want a backup.

Lingham's Hot Sauce "Original" is my absolute favorite everyday hot sauce, it is a perfect combination of sweet followed with spicy addition to Chinese food, eggs, or anything that needs a kick in the flavor department. I was introduced to this product as a young boy when my family would take me into LA's China Town for Dim Sum and we would go to the Asian Market for supplies for the the meals Mom would fix at home. I was able to buy it at CostPlus World Market for a period of time but they stopped carrying it. My other source, a local Asian Market I used to also get it at went out of business and I was down to the last of my stash when I did a product search on Amazon and found suppliers. If you want a sweet heat without that vinegar after taste this the product for you.

Linghams has the perfect taste/heat for me

Add just a hint of fresh lime to this and seriously it goes on almost everything. Add just a bit to fried chicken and honey, doesn't crush the flavor of fish like some hot sauces. Also good on dark greens as well curiously.

This is a tasty sauce - great for adding a nice zing to standard ketchup and making a really nice french dressing with a half half ketchup / hot sauce mix. The sauce is also perfect for dipping and as a replacement for the usual spicy sweet thai chili sauce. Using sweet thai chili sauce as an reference this is a thick clear red sauce that is slightly less spicy and has less of a garlic taste to it. it has no (chili / garlic onion) pieces in it. Good stuff and very versatile and will not over power the standard western palette that may be sensitive to spice levels.

Saw this hot sauce featured in one of my food magazines and decided to try it.Was a good decision as this sauce has just the right balance of sweet to hot.Have used it in combination with other ingredients to spice things up and have not been disappointed. Hard to believe chilies, sugar, vinegar and salt are the only ingredients, nothing artificial!Wish I could find it in my area but am glad that I took a chance to order on line. Have ordered it twice and received product in about a week.Lingham's is the best!

Have been using for at least 20 years. Seller in our town closed and we went years without it. So thrilled to find it on Amazon. We use it in everything. Thank you Amazon for offering it.

Like the taste. Has a sweet, mild, hotness. But expensive. Don't get much for the price and if not careful, pours out of bottle quickly and it if you have a big family, it goes fast.
