This is a fantastic product.
This is the real deal! Assembly may require some adult assistance depending on the childโs age. This item worked as it should and all parts were included. The website support, answered all of our questions. This is just a fantastic product!

Very nice kit
Itโs expensive, but you are getting what you pay for. Very high quality from components to instructions. Spent 4 great hours with my son with autism building the robot arm tank, which says a lot. Definitely recommend

What a great advanced "Erector Set"....
This kit is one quality kit. Never seen anything as good! Our 12 year old grandson has built 2 of the devices with a bit of guidance... Following the steps/directions. Both worked flawlessly. There was no missing anything in the kit. Parts were packaged in an above quality care! Jim.

Awesome idea still needs some improvements though
This is great for kids getting a hang of how stuff works under the hood. Few issues though which makes it frustrating to work with: 1) the battery compartment can be made a lot better. It does not fit well and also there is no cover so the batteries keep poppoing as it is very loose in terms of that. On a similar note, We have made the camera doll uptill now and the battery compartment goes upside down , making it more vulnerable to fall down. 2) the physical instructions are for only 3 out of 10 designs. It is a hassle specially with the kids to get the information printed or done online. It should be included as part of the product

This is an awesome way to play with robots
Really love it and is very well made The manual is super detailed I think its a bit too expensive. I got it for $300 with a discount, that is the only way i could convince myself of buying it.

Terrible Documentation
This MakeBlock Ultimate 2.0 is very expensive, but has so much potential. I'm an engineer, so I'm used to working in technical environments- it's a part of my daily job to put hardware and software pieces together and make them work. I got this product to have some fun with my kids, but that quickly turned to frustration as some critical documentation apparently doesn't exist. Try for yourself- try to find out how to make Bluetooth control work- the only thing you'll find on the MakeBlock website is marketing- the beautiful images and glowing words about how great everything is and all the things you can do with it, but you won't be able to find information on _how_ to do it. They want you to use the forums, which is fine for all kinds of community-oriented things, but I don't think that _basic_ support should fall to the user base. If I was trying to do something unusual, then great, I'm on my own, but documentation of the most basic functionality that they ADVERTISE should be readily available. The manufacturer has some _basic_ responsibilities, and key is documenting basic use of the product and it's components. To be clear, the paper booklet included is quite good- it provides very detailed steps on assembly, and it will test your attention to detail, but after assembly, it tells you to go to the internet to actually make it actually work, and that's when it falls apart. That was almost 3 years ago, and recently we tried again, and got a little further, but not much. Documentation still hasn't gotten any better.

The product as a starter is good for children and enthusiasts to build and they have many useful hardware modules and extensions. Seeing the community I was interested in buying. However regarding software, this is only good if you are experienced with Arduino IDE because you can have little more freedom than other high-level language APIs. The Python and NodeJS APIs, that this product advertise to support, are highly unstable, not fully baked, encoder motor APIs t don't work and the tech support straight away rejects any kind of help to work around their own bug. Their language is not rude, but to me the behavior is. If I would have known, I would have gone for a general Arduino board instead of MegaPi.
